Round 3 of the Tick-Tock Game - The Biwi fighting for the rights of the Wedded Wife
The Contract marriage now leads Madhu to ask for the rights of the wedded wife that she is entitled to. She refuses to be the spot girl, throws away the all liqour, makes her husband drink milk. The hubby needs to have the upper hand at the tick-tock game. So challenges the Biwi to honor him as her husband.
Biwi is not ready to. Hubby tries the massage game followed by party to publically declare her as his wife. Read through the Round 3 here.
To Studio
My tracking starts from the point they were destined to get married. Yes, I would like to say destiny like RK says kismat. Because otherwise there was no reason for MB to pursue a superstar for bringing him to justice when the VICTIM's family itself was ready to drop the charges.
Round 1 leading to Mock-Marriage - RK makes MB his wife and MB taking vows that she she will never break down to RK directed humiliations. Personal humiliations begin and end as MB wins the round 1 as she gets pretty settled being the 9 naukrani and spot girl to RK as long as her father is getting treated and is on the road to recovery.
Round 2 - Instigating Each Other to bring out the worst
Tick Tock Game - Not sure at this point if it is going to be Triathlon or a Pentathlon or a Heptahlon or a Decathlon ! 
Event 1) RK Instigating MB out of her compliant attitude - RK Wins
Attack: Insulting your mother. Result - I see the spark back in your eyes.
Kuch der pehle ajnabi si lag rahi thi, Ab apni si lag rahi ho.
Event 2) MB - I will fight for my mother's honour in 24 hrs.
How ? I don't know...
You are too mighty for me an ordinary girl. But with grace of Bappa, I will have soon some help getting my way. Bappa has blessed me with an anonymous letter and some pics. Now I can leverage this opportune finding to have the superstar RK apologize to my Mommy. 
Result - I win. I see the hurt pride in your eyes.
Ek Mamuli si ladki ne ek superstar ki yeh dasha kar di.
Event 3) RK - I will avenge myself and show you what it means to cheat me.
You targeted my memories with my father. You desecrated those memories by flashing it for public display and talk. Now I will target your existential bonding with your father for whom you willingly sold yourself off to me. Let me twist the story and present it to your father. Tit for Tat. Cheat for Cheat.
Result - to be known tomorrow. Per spoiler updates, MB is hurt to the extent that her commitment to keep the deal with RK working is crumbling.

I am sorry for becoming such a seemingly callous person. However what makes me write like this, inspite of all that pain and need for vendetta, a certain degree of logic should prevail within the protagonists to make them ask what's happening and why its happening. MB has conveniently forgotten to thank the benefactor who helped her in winning her round. That causes her to go down for Event 3. And yet, she may win in all round sympathy factor for losing everything that she cares for. But what she clearly fails to understand is it her who is dogging RK and making him bring out his darker side. To begin with it was never RK who planned anything bad for MB. Its such a paradoxical situation that on the surface RK seems to be the villain, but to me in reality it is MB who keeps on attacking RK unwisely in ignorance and she ends up hurting everyone in the process. She hurts RK, herself and her family. MB should slowly start thinking of her follies in the whole game that she started with RK. Unless she understand and corrects her act, it is going to endless and mindless vendetta and a monotonous game to watch.

Those were the words from the wise man Bittuji when he was asked by Radhaji what was the occassion of the party.
True. How can he trust his chief to be a peace timer ? And now that chief's enemy has started showing her colors, how can he even imagine that peace will prevail even if it be a semblance of party amidst society's prominent people and hosted by eminent personality.
That put aside, I wanna talk about the beast himself. Jackie posts are about the Beast Palace. Madhubala calls her RK as the "jaanwar". While I took the word in poetic and dramatic sense respectively, today for the first time, I feel like analysing Madhubala's jaanwar as seen from my eyes.
Agree. Who marries like that, making a mockery of rituals. Definitely not a jaanwar. Someone highly knowledgeable about rituals and yet making a blasphemy out of it. An impertinent man. A Bad-tameez. But was it a blasphemy in Rishabh Kundra's eyes ?
No. Where there is no faith, there is no blasphemy.
Who makes his wedded wife, a servant and that too amongst the god-fearing, moral society ? Not a Man of the World. Won't his social prestige be at stake ? Then who is Rishabh Kundra ? Is he not a homo sapien, a social animal ? Is he above society and its conventions ? As an actor how much can he influence society and how much can he dictate. or put it correctly, how can he remain alone ? What sustains him ? Why everyone fears him ? Just because he has thugs waiting on him who can beat people to pulp at his express command ? So what is this being ?
Satan - No. I have not seen him conjuring evil.
Animal - Definitely doesn't seem human animal. And any other animal ? Well, all animals of the jungle follow certain rules including the lonely cats like the lion, knowing its territory, its preys, and its smells.
Then what is he ?
When did Madhubala call him jaanwar ? I remember her saying on the next day of marriage when RK drags her with him from the hospital. I understood she said it out of spite. But actually I never bought it. Because in that situation, RK was not a jaanwar, he was a "Beraham", a merciless, pitiless man. If Madhu wanted him to call Jaanwar, she needed to specify which kind of jaanwar. Else I am confused man! which animal to pick.
And now as the antics continue between the Miyaan-Biwi, today's ploy from RK to turn her Biwi into a waiter, it was totally to my distaste.
I was like which husband does that.
Biwi ki izzat gayi to gayi, Miyaan ki izzat ki bhi dhajjiyaan ud gayi !!
As a husband RK is equally losing respect when he is making fun of his wife.
Definitely this man is not a Insaan; human being.
Definitely not a jaanwar; animal ?
Then what is he ?
You know what the closest I could find is the Hindu mythological characters:

Monster, Ogre, demon etcetera etcetera
Madhubala fears this monster. We can see that on her face when the RK monster roars.
But she didn't give a proper adjective to him.
And as for today, in today's venue of Mahabharat (RK's home rather than Kurukshetra), as the ammunition changed to flirtatious behavior, amour, effrontery from the so called "Jaanwar" RK towards his Madhubala in his so famous Madhushala, I couldn't make heads and tails of the specimen that RK is.
He was behaving, he was performing, he turned disgusting...all in all, Madhubala's un-specified jaanwar today seemed a Bandar to me. A menacing monkey.
Have you been tormented by a monkey ? I have been. Its scary.

The guy (RK) must be a super chess player. Chitt bhi meri, patt bhi meri. Either/Or consequences in his favour as far as his game with MB was concerned.
MB challenged that she will fulfil wife's duties.
RK needed to break this. 3 attacks on his wife and he succeeds in making the whole subject of conjugal duties as something obscene and unthinkable. He basically stabbed MB's heart by ripping apart her belief that she can hope something in the role of the wife.
His win is not in the fact that he made MB lose her dignity. No Madhu never lost her dignity, she infact won her case. What was RK's win, he made the fight worthless for MB. He made her feel that she should not have thought of becoming the dutiful wife.
The attacks.
Attack 1
So RK openly accused her in front of everyone and made it look like he was the suffering husband and MB not obliging with his conjugal rights. "jaanta hoon Nazdikiyaan kamzor kar gayi. Abhi chhoote hi bhagogi" Which honest women would accept that accusation baseless fact as it was ! So she had to keep her ground before all the people as it was her fight to get the wife's rights.
Attack 2
And RK doesn't like this response, for he has to make yet another attack to win the game. His opponent was giving a fair fight. And this time what is his attack ? Hit under the felt. Go for the same conjugal rights but more towards the sexual relationship. He does a close dance and his wife defends herself before everyone that she is not the one who is not honoring it.
Attack 3
So how does RK cheat now ? Say aloud, another accusation. You can publically be close to me, but in private, you won't do that ! Making her some kind of liar or opportunist. And since her face was telling it all how unfair he is, how no one would believe it, he defies the world she is part of and strikes her where it hurts, the situation of kiss - miss. What would have been more hurtful, to be kissed by a scorned man or to be spared in scorn ?
Who wins ?
The lone tear swelled in Madhubala's eye because she was consternated at RK's stooping to such low levels to conquer her, to break her. And as the seconds reduced to 1, she had attained the resigned and the moral-call look of "how low you can stoop now?". And that's where RK decides to not kiss, because somewhere MB's gaze ready to be ravaged was not yet vanquished and was still thinking about him and not worrying about her. The eyes had already called RK as some low level scum. That's when RK decides to not kiss as he gets scared of the meaning present in the eyes, RK cannot be scum. But the venom of defeat has to be spit out, so he says "you do not MERIT my kiss". That causes MB to shed the tear as the waiting to be ravaged ended.
The lady collects what is left of her and conducts herself away from the spot in all dignity.
But RK would not want her to get any respite, so he presents a satanic level tormenting thought. Think MB "What would have been more hurtful, to be kissed by a scorned man or to be spared in scorn ? " A gift of personal hell.
One hell of a scene.

Honestly after knowing the mixed-twisted-funny dynamics between the couple due to the fatalistic intervention of potholed bridge and short-circuits all over the place, I am so much intrigued to know what kind of dynamics would have erupted between a serious (without attitude) RK who called his wife by her name Madhu which makes her an "insaan" and not a property (Biwi is his property) and went looking for her in all earnest to confront her for whatever reasons he had. I am curious to know what would RK have felt had he seen Madhubala weeping like the way she was when sitting in her room. Because, till date MB has not yet wept like total loss before RK. It was always when he leaves the scene.
Or for that matter, what would have happened if RK just found her in studio in all tears ? here the glare of the electricity, whatever that is called (pardon my inability to articulate the physics situation
) dissipated the concentration of anger for each of them to some extent.
Make-up at the night-out in studio - 19th September
MB spent whole night cribbing with her hubby over his "limits cross". And he was at his "pacific-best". After the hurt she felt, no amount of understanding and sympathy from others would have appeased her. She needed to vent out all that she felt with the one who caused it. She got the opportunity, dil ki saari bhadaas nikali. She very well knows RK was in placating mood while she was righteously being peremptory. When anger and pain subside, forgiveness kicks in easily into a charitable heart. And here, MB may want to act out of charity, but there is something else acting out.
So who knows. Love expresses itself in manifold ways. Its fluid and never rigid.
The Marriage and honoring it
That 4-Phera Marriage that has to be honoured
RK-MB marriage and vows that he took in that 4-phera marriage.
First one ..the actual one Pandit tells him ...I will be forever support you. And he twists it and says in his mind, I promise to isolate you from all the people who will be supporting you.
Second one ...The actual one being ...I will never break your trust. And he twists it and says in his mind, I assure you that I will make everyday of your life a hell.
Third one - actual being ...I promise to be with you in good and bad times. And he twists to mean, cannot know about good times, I promise to fill up your life with unhappiness.
Fourth one - actual being - I promise to treat your parents with respect like mine. And he looks at Bittuji and has the fourth phera cancelled (the actual reason being he doesn't respect his living parents or may be parents is a closed chapter for him).
So in reality, everyone may have assumed he took the first three vows at real. Only him and audience know what he was promising in the first three.
Now at real , he has been following 7 vows. the first three real ones and twisted ones and the fourth one, since he cancelled it, he takes liberty to humiliate them albeit calls them Sasurji and Saasumaa, in much expressive manner than of addressing his living family.
Isn't this man really complex, interesting and entertaining. We can never know what he can do. But one thing is good about him. When he twists, he keeps loyal to only himself being supportive to her and to be trustworthy to her and not promising too many bad things to her in a curseful manner. He just vows that much which MB is capable of dealing with.
Must say interesting plot and character sketch there from the writers !!
Dipali Track - 24th to 18th October
Post Stranded at the Studio track, we have Dipali Track that aids Rishbala to honour their marriage
She was supposed to be a catalyst for RK and MB to come closer. And that has happened. Rishbala now not only share the room together, they share the bed too with the pillows as the divider. RK upheld his 4-phera marriage with MB and vowed that he will never forget honouring her as his wife. Likewise MB too declared to Dipzy, she will fulfil all the responsibilies of being RK's Dharam-patni even if it was the 4-phera marriage.
Further Dipzy's endevors to separate the duo worked contrarily, with RK and MB accepting what they are to each other and to Dipzy and how they will not allow a third person to come in between them. Trust on each other leads them to share a comfort level with each other that allows them to have small talks, smile and take liberties with each other to care for the other in the manner they want to. Be it RK holding her leg or calling her to bed or MB indulging in wifey-talk of wanting to know the color preference or asking hubby when he is gonna tie the mauli, or both refusing to answer each other's questions without cudgels in their hands to blow each others brains.
What was interesting for me to watch in these weeks was MB smiling for the first time in front of RK and happily smiling at him behind his back. What was even more interesting was the title track of MEIEJ played when they were having these cute moments. Yes, if people have noticed, it is the song from Chalti ka Naam Gaadi picturized on Actress Madhubala and sung by Kishore Kumar.

The irrationality of BOTH. No one knows why RK let Madhu have her own way with the celebrations, no one knows why Madhu was so after him to know his preference in color. No one knows why he was sulking and not smirking in RK's patented attitude and no one knows why Madhu was so happy and not smouldering in righteous attitude. No one knows why RK would say sorry for turning off the light. But one can understand that Madhu liked RK taking heed of her fears and assuring in his own manner that he is there and she need not fear.

One of my favourite parts from this week (although the scene made me laugh in its obvious clunkiness) was when he turns the light off in the room and remembers she's afraid of the dark. He says sorry and then in the next line he tells her to come back to bed as if ordering her gruffly. That slight change in tone from the sorry to feeling uncomfortable and then getting back behind his mas was quite well done in my opinion.

Ganesh Chaturthi to Visarjan track is a watershed moment of RK and Madhu's lives.
First time it is that RK was not treating Madhu as his game, property or Biwi, or competitor or felt vulnerable before her.
First time SOMEONE else became more important than his obsession for Madhu.
- It is solely RK's long-due confrontation and make-up with Ganesha. A part of his anger quenched and peace made. RK loses, almost dies, Rishabh and Ganesha win.
- It is soley Madhu's testing of her faith in Ganesha and guided through his faith to accept herself as RK's Wife (Dharampatni). Madhu loses all the anger for RK and now just wants RK wake up and fight with her to give her a reason to start fighting against him for a win. She feels lost without RK now and looks to Ganesha.

Madhu asks Ganesha. Give me back RK's life in return for all these years devotion to you.
And why that negotiation? She says, "Rishabh ke andar maine apka ka vishwaas jagaya diya hai. Lekin ab mere andar ka vishwaas na bujh jaaye, woh aapki zimmedari hai."
What happened just before the Lekin ? Madhu was seeing RIshabh dancing away in trance, She had seen that Rishabh had gained faith and before she could even have a full look into his eyes, and before she could even express her delighted joy to him, "see I told you, that Bappa will restore your peace", Rishabh took a mortal wound and was about to die. She had so much to talk to her adversary and she never got the chance. So she argues before her Bappa, "Aapko ye saabit karna hoga ki main sahi thee aur woh aapko pathar kehne waala galat tha"
And because, somewhere down this time Madhu had immersed her hesitation to accept how she is bound to RK, she becomes desperate and as his Dharam-patni seeks justice for her husband. She demands God in very matter of principle manner, "Ek baar aap dhoka de chuke hain, ab nahin, ab apne dost ka vishwaas bachaane ka waqt aa gaya hai"
It was beautiful, negotiation loaded with argument and stressing of principle.
Then within the hospital, when doctors give up, I loved how Madhu again slowly starts from periphery and finally calls out to RK to wake up if she means anything to him. She starts with asking him to wake up for himself, his might, his stubborness, his attitude, for his responsibility as the superstar towards his work, his fans, for everything that the man stood for and was known as to the world. He doesn't wake up. She then tries to invoke his latent feelings for his mother, that doesn't serve the purpose. Then she just tries to bait him, don't you want to play with your favourite toy, your Biwi. "Tumhe mujhe Biwi bulaake , dhauns jamaane ka dil nahin kar raha ?"
She almost breaks down here. A thing that used to vex her when he was alive, suddenly seems the only thing they ever shared with each other. The tease and vex. And now she decides to tease him and vex him. You have only two options...Wake up or wake up...poor girl, she almost broke down there.
But why the breakdown ...because of disbelief that the RK who was such a formidable person was being written-off. How was that possible in any manner. How can one believe that. So what does she do. Start chanting her God!! Let him take care...

Ganesha Sthapna and Visarjan Track
This is a landmark to Rishbala story. And one cannot stop wanting to go on what it meant for Rishbala. I would resist myself becoming a spill and will just summarize in short.
The track metaphorically establishes dissolution of RK and MB that they have been all this time in order to get assimilated with God only to be blessed by HIM to have each other albeit in set path of trials and tribulations. Following God has never been easy. Won't you agree with that.
What this track achieves is:
- MB takes the cue from RK and like him decides to care for him and the first step that she takes is to heal him by addressing his past hurts. She can do nothing to return his Dad, but she can try to get him reconciled to his friend Bappa and his Momma. A thing that MB may never have imagined to do for a man who ruined her life.
- RK allows his wife to be a catalyst in him regaining his faith for Bappa. A thing that RK never allowed anyone to work upon him.
- RK regains his faith making it a symbolic end of RK and rebirth of Rishabh Kundra.
- And when Bappa seems to be claiming RK all for himself, She asks Bappa to give him back to keep her promise to his mother and for Rishabh's sake. She is ready to forego her faith if Bappa doesn't heed to her prayers. A real drama of a clinical death of RK and resurrection of Rishabh Kundra through faith.

- RK's ishq is caring and being possessive about MB. There's certain level of deewanapan in the way he's after her. Be it to show his smirks or making his peremptory demands, its his expression of admiration for her, attraction for her and the desire to be in her company. - MB's Ishq - Am guessing that it too will be possessive like RK. And her ishq so far has an expression of giving spontaneous response to RK's any kind of act. She just can't stop reacting to him. Cluelessly affected by him. She is angry, child-like, demanding, puppy-faced, looking teased and a royal queen.
Junoon -
- Rishabh's junoon is to hide away under his mask or be a recluse in his cave. His junoon is also to conserve his Super Ego. Those who strike it, they are GONE! That's why MB has been the target. She questioned his thought-process, his way of living.
- Madhu's junoon is to fight for others cares without any thought for her. She goes to insane limits. Take the case of Mukund, Shamsher Malik... and now it is RK and her standing up to restore his faith in his friend and care-taker Ganesha'.and soon a day is going to come when she will decide to take care of Rishu, when she understands that Rishabh's way of living is not a living but a coping to live through'..her eternal fight with Rishabh.

The irrationality of BOTH. No one knows why RK let Madhu have her own way with the celebrations, no one knows why Madhu was so after him to know his preference in color. No one knows why he was sulking and not smirking in RK's patented attitude and no one knows why Madhu was so happy and not smouldering in righteous attitude.

27th September: On a way to Hum Dono from Hum-Tum
Madhu apologozing to RK for using his Dad's pictures to have him say sorry to her mother. She makes clean breast of herself. She makes it clear that though she doesn't see anything wrong in her wishing to get him to apologize, she wouldn't have gone so low as to use precious pictures of his to achieve that. The beauty with which she says' "Dil se maafi maangti hoon" That was another die for scene.
Even RK is visibly moved with her purity and individuality. To him, MB was sure one of a kind, a singular piece of creation; that stepped into his world. Its the second day since the girl got to know of pics, and she had not been at peace until she apologized.
I loved the way he stroke her hair backwards to see more of her face.
And RK, the RK he is, plays out well. Gracious enough to acknowledge to MB that he feels her repentance. And then he has his smirk on, which was not evil kind, but was like "acquaintance soon going to be friends" kind. He says she better remember her "I don't like you" attitude.
And he declares that she should be what she always has been..courageous and uniquely thinking in her own manner.

A few days back when Dipzy entered their life, at a time when they were quite close to ending the roller-coaster ride of their hate-marriage on public display. So here it is how the solicitation and acceptance forges between them.

The possessiveness was there when RK brings Madhu back to their room with such forcefulness away from his mother's room. The like to care was there when RK wants to dress Madhu's wound with a forcefulness when it did not need any dressing. He had been concerned for her health. He knew she was going to the doctor and he checked with Bittuji if the check-up went all well. The need to know on what Madhu was thinking about his relationship with Dips is there when he wants to tell her what Dips means to him. He had been disturbed about this the whole day and he needed to make a clean breast of himself. He needed Madhu to know that there is none other than her who matters to him in his life. And in all of this, RK actually is talking to his wife. A communication bridge opened. A communication sent out and received.
Madhu watches all of these gestures from her 4-pheron ka pati. She understands his talk. And she feels like responding to the bridge from the other end. She does not say anything on Dips-RK relationship. She will just trust him and accept that she matters to him most. Instead she needs him to know that she would never want to hurt him by targeting his wounds. She tells him that that its not that she like to care for him, but she can never turn that lowly as to involve a third person in their fight with each other. She promises to him, that she chooses to remain fair in her fight with him and it will be just the two of them. Loop closed with communication received and response sent out.
The communication bridge is finally closed with take-home understanding and parting pleasant gestures to each other. They show the real selves to each other. The teary-eyed compassionate Madhu which is the real her and smilerky caring and supportive Rishabh-RK which is the real him. The proud man allows himself to be humbled by her compassionate feelings for him and the proud woman allows herself to be cared and supported by him. They need that for each other from each other.
True !! what a chemistry they have !!! They blend with each other very well. A very homogenous mixture and make themselves into a compound called Rishbala.
This then explains the Ganesha track.
The proud man allows his Biwi to address his need to reconcile with estranged friend, his Bappa. The proud man allows his Biwi to address his need to reconcile with his past The Biwi has set out on a daunting mission. She knows she cannot do it by herself. She seeks his friend and her God's help in this. But at the same time, the proud woman also sees that her 4-pheron ka pati is caring for her beliefs and is supporting her to uphold her beliefs by not stopping her and allowing her to do whatever she wants to do.
And once this understanding is reached, each acts and responds in full honesty to each other. And inspite of the charged fight that they seem to have as who wins, they are so much at peace with each other to share the same bed, albeit with pillows in it, and yet talk about the reminders to unfinished tasks at hand such as tying of mouli, eating of modak, refusal to accomplish the errand and question each other on pretenses and snooping around such as why not let the flame get extinguished, or why the kabab drama or why the snooping around...
Since they allowed each other to be cared for and supported for, they refuse to answer each other and yet they set out together to do what they have to do. To continue the fight and yet care for each other.
Doesn't that explain why Madhu keeps the mauli and modak in their room and he does not throw them away himself. She cannot do it by herself but she has to do it for him. And she has his support.
Doesn't that explain why RK takes Bappa and Ganesha from his house to an acceptable place outside his home ? He cannot allow a proper exit for his Ganesha, but then has to take care that his wife's beliefs are not trashed on his account.

The near death experiences that each of these take the other two to bind them to each other.
Madhu was close to death through electrocution at the studio and RK saves her. We have all ignored that due to the clunky plot devices used by the CVs. However, remove the clunky plot device, and just look at what we got to see. Who drove her there. It was RK.
Death is the Absolute Truth. Then one does tend to have face-offs with our real feelings towards the person who is close to dying. We are no longer involved in our petty truths but engulfed by the question, how does that death may matter to us or affect us. That experience with a certain death makes us ask ourselves some questions, if all of that was any worthy ?
Rishabh sure did contemplate on the near death experience of his opponent Madhu and made him ask himself and his Dad if all of it was any worthy. In there, he has face-off with his RK ego. In there is his thoughts on how RK got created. Was all of it really worth it ?
So did Madhu contemplate on so-truly happening death of RK, if all her beliefs were of any worth. Like she contemplated if her aspirations to beat her opponent truly mattered when her father, Shamsher Malik was almost being given-up. Like RK contemplated if the fight really was not a chance fight but something else for eternity when a father's life was at stake and trying to make him understand that.
Death or witnessing fatal situations makes us stop and ponder in our tracks. Then questioning begins the process of dissolution in ourselves with regards to the relative context. Dissolution leads to assimilation into something else.

They have increasingly gentled even in their most fraught confrontations.
It is not love that binds them - not yet.
But if there is some kind of primal metaphysical glue that binds two souls together as soulmates, then that must surely be such.
They are right for each other despite not seeming to be. They confound every understanding of what they might be as a whole - because neither is quite what they appear to be.
What binds them together is their self-righteous attitude. I call those 3 ladies and RK idiots. It may sound very strange that I use the word Idiot. There are reasons. 1) in actual conventional sense, their acts are not the so called "Way of the World manners" 2) Very easily you will understand what I mean if anyone had read Dostoevsky's The Idiot. The so-called mentally challenged person is actually the sanest person between all the quick-witted crackpots around him.
These idiots in MB story, apply filters and choose their targets very well. They ignore the crackpots around them as if they are the demons or the ogres not worth mingling and just bond with other idiots like them and towards their idiotic ends choose their targets well.
Hence we have the story title ...JUNOON. Obsess on being an idiot.
Coming to what binds RK and Madhu inspite of the hatred towards each other.
Fight for supremacy of will is what makes them hurt each other.
But trust and understanding of the other's self-righteous attitude makes them get comfortable with each other.
There are standards that their self-righteous attitude asks them to maintain ...they need to match elevated levels as it boosts their esteem. So each knows the game where the other would not fall beneath the conceived standard. So each even though apprehensive of other's action or reaction, yet they have the comfort to know that it not going to be what they do not know of. So a security against Deception. This binds them together. This lets them sleep comfortably in each other's presence.
And what else binds them ? There is no denying at all. They have an awful chemistry around each other. RK may mock about it before MB and making it light, but in reality it very much exists between the two. It is magnetic appeal and pull towards each other that has hit their sub-conscious, which causes them to dream or think about each other. And since the consciousness doesn't allow them to accept this for each other, they turn their thoughts into obsessive ideas to break each other. The subconscious attraction is making them to fixate on each other.
And their story development so far:
Event Accident leads them to meet each other.
They see Mutual Attitude and feel Attraction and very clearly know their worlds are 7 seas apart from each other.
They hurt each other in iterations leading to Event Mock-Marriage.
They continue to witness and confront each other's Attitudes. Through the social sanction of marriage, they effectively kill Attraction for each other but develop bonding as the team of Superstar RK and his Biwi.
They dangerous attack each other aiming their vulnerable selves leading to Event Contract-Marriage
They continue their fight for supremacy and start to live their contract-marriage until one succeeds in hurting the other so much that empathy and respect for the adversary kicks in. And redemption for self-perceived acts starts (RK thinking about Shamsher's quick recovery and Madhu thinking after all this guy is not what I thought him to me)

Next level of story - Unplanned and just pushed into Events beyond Self-Control.
Enter Deepali - Move to Bedroom and declaring to world, they are indeed Biwi and Pati-Dev even if it a contract marriage and not a Holy Matrimony for 7 reincarnations.
Enter Padmini-Radhaji friendship - Madhu blessed by Mother to treat the RK abode as her home and pledge allegiance with her MIL and start plotting around RK
Enter Ganesha -Plotting Mix - Celebrating festival and becoming part of it. Dangerous consequences for either.
Madhu: This marriage is for real.
RK : Don't know what he will do... But he does know Marriage is getting real for his Biwi
Is this going towards Annulling the Contract-Marriage ?

Episode 18th October 2012: Reassurance leading to Trust - between the adversaries RK and Madhubala
Like I was saying to Pippa, today's episode, although if on surface brought back The RK we know and love, today we completely understand why he is THE RK, how he evolved in that manner and why is so different from Rishabh Kundra. We get to know him through the three female characters he gets to interact today.
I would title today's episode as Trust and Reassurance
Trust and Reassurance - Madhubala the fortunate.
She is no longer confident. She cannot trust herself on what she is doing. What seems right seems wrong also. And what is supposed to be wrong is actually correct as well. She doesn't know what has happened to her or what is happening to her. She is yearning to take care of someone whom she should not care for and who would not allow her to take care. She is upset that she is breaching trust on both family side and also hurting the man by she is supposed to hate.
What kind of dilemma is this ?
And so we have the song. It should have been played today instead of yesterday. But no worries, Episodic screenplay may aisa aage -peeche ho jaata hai, with all those ad breaks, precaps and daybreaks.
However, does this dilemma get resolved for Madhu. Through her mother.
She trusts her mother and she is reassured by her mother that what she feels now is not wrong. She reinstates Madhu's shift of RK view as plausible as RK is not the bad man but a good man, which Madhu could see.
What do we have here ? A beautiful scene that makes us happy looking at the confident mother and reassured daughter. Weren't we all happy when Madhu smiled through her tears ? Under these circumstances, how can anyone say, Madhu is not going to remain innocent and good person all her life (assuming Padmini is going to be like this.)
Trust and Reassurance - Rishabh Kundra the Unfortunate.
He needs to know what happened, when he was unconscious there. And who can he turn to ? He tried to check with his wife. Didn't we all listen how he was addressing her as Madhu trusting her completely. His wife was evasive towards his questions, though her exuberant joyful act gave up on her. He is still smarting to know and there comes his ex-love who jilted him in the past, claiming that she saved him and given him his blood. Can he trust her ? No. But who is going to reassure him that what he thinks is right. That Dips cannot be the person who could save him. Enter his mother. Although Rishabh cannot trust her, but he looked at her with the last straw kind of thing and asked her, who gave him blood. The mother is stupefied. And she looks at her DIL as if that DIL is going to come for her rescue. The mother couldn't even look into her son's eyes and refuse to give answer. She had to act dodgy. Rishabh is a person who wants everything in its honesty given back to him straight whether it is to bless him or curse him. Mrs. Bhatia fails miserably to reassure Rishabh on anything.
And there seethes out the RK out of Rishabh Kundra. The RK who is going to protect Rishabh Kundra from people whom he cannot trust and cannot have any kind of assurance of bonding.
His RK act gets him the information he was seeking. I feel for this man. It was painful for me to watch Rishabh Kundra's predicament until this point. I mean how he just has to become a mean person to counter meanness around him without any choice.
Reassurance leading to Trust - between the adversaries RK and Madhubala
Its a very conceited act of RK, which initially the trusting Madhubala doesn't understand and ends up giving away her perturbed expressions at finding out RK-Dips Love story. Is this the man that she knows of him as ? But then, it starts to reassure him that he is on the right track. Then soon the conceited drama hits her and she sees through it to know what RK is upto. A reassured look appears and she watches the rest of the drama unfold. Truth out.
RK and Madhubala come to face each other to address the unsettling question. Why Madhu donated her blood to RK, a person who inflicted worst kind of torments over her soul and family. Do they trust each other while asking and being asked ? Yes, they do. And what do they do ? RK doesn't yell "OUT" likes he yells at Dips and his mother. Madhu musters her courage to speak up what she has to. She answers him back trustingly, "Won't you have done the same if I were in your position ?" and looks for reassurance that she did the right thing. That vulnerable look of Madhu's; wanting to do the right thing for herself; pushes back RK and brings forth Rishabh Kundra again, a man who wants to care for others, who would assure people that he is there for them.
Rishabh Kundra and RK's concerns have always been not get vulnerable before anyone. They can protect others, but cannot seek help from others. But today the question is going even beyond that. Its time for Rishabh to set aside his vulnerability and take care of the question that Madhu asked him mildly in doubt "Won't you have done the same if I were in your position ?" It had not been an easy act for his adversary in showering her kindness, then can he not shower a little understanding on his adversary for the same. Reassurance leading to Trust. Not that they become lovers or something. They are still adversaries but all in faith.
P.S: When a person comes back to consciousness, it really matters for the person to know what transpired when he was zoned out. And this becomes significant for control-freaks like RK or Rishabh Kundra. If one is surrounded by good people around by him/her, the person sets aside the questions for later time even though his mind gnaws to know what happened. This is rarely shown over TV. And in MEIEJ we are seeing it because this is RK who is projected as guy who has his fears and all. But at real, the thing to know is present. First hand example is me.

The embers turning into flints
No doubt that RK-MB love story is a fiery one. But today, I felt on the deeper level of emotions calling for RESOLUTIONS, RK's heart decided for him that, his hate story for Madhu may still have the embers there, but he would rather start using flints to create the spark needed for his love story. And today he embarked on that journey.
Have we all not noticed, how it bothered RK that Madhu was angry and not talking to him. Well in the past she was his puppet. He needed to control her every thought process as he always watched her. Even today he is disturbed like his earlier days. His anxiety, body language and concern everything was showing that he wants to know what's going on in her mind. But the difference was also starkly noticeable. Today, it was a genuine concern as to why this eccentric Biwi of his has gone into silent mode. He knew that he did not do anything that should have caused her pain. Then why? That concern and curiosity could have been easily quenched through his arrogant questioningm but RK coaxes Madhu through using her own previous states like referring to her as Mr.India.
So somewhere along RK has started to feel that he does not want his wife to think bad about him or close herself to him. And so when rightly he has not hurt her in any manner, why would she close herself to him? That really was paining him. A lot. He was almost about to blurt why Shamsher was there giving out the true reason to be in her good books, He was so vulnerable out there in his want of her warmth and nearness. But soon the stronger man within him prevails and against his own desires, he assumes not begging for warmth self and assumes his secretive magnanimous self and cares for his Biwi's heart like a good samaritan by stopping himself.
Of course he is RK, he is sure to twist his way out of that diffucult situation imposed by his wife. And that another wait until tomorrow.
All in all very interesting and moving episode. With good focus on all the rest of the characters mannerisms. None have regressed but progressed today.

So instead of going to sleep like I should have, I watched today's episode one last time. I've had a terrible week so far and I've been far more exhausted with headaches galore (mostly due to the constantly changing weather here I think - oh and the fact that when it's time to sleep I can't seem to sleep).
Most people have discussed RK's feelings and the change in him and the interaction between both him and Malik and him and Madhu in Wednesday's episode. I think my post will be along those lines here as well but I was more interested in the flashbacks they showed when RK was thinking about everything and the scene that caught my eye - Madhu talking about her father.
At the time I remember many of us talking about how it should have come up at a different time, RK didn't even really have a reaction to her revelation about her past, and that much like we've been exploring RK's past with his father Madhu should have been given the same courtesy when her daddy issues came up. I thought perhaps it was thrown in there to be used later, and it was relevant today.
RK is in a dilema, there's this woman he's starting to care about, he's supposed to hate her too, I mean afterall he only married her to make her life miserable but he's finding he can't do that anymore. Add to that the fact that he just found out that the man she looks up to most, her 'father', is trying to kill him. Does he tell Madhu this and come out as the victim, thus deserving of her affections or does it keep it to himself, instead coming across as the big bad in this scenario and save her from finding out it's actually the man she thinks of as her father who's the big bad.
He had such an important/deep relationship with his father which was shattered when the man took his own life. He actually respects Malik's point of view because he understands the importance of this relationship, but at the cost of his own growing need for his biwi to look at him as someone that can be loved in spite of everything? Now in his hands he holds the key to possibly bringing Madhu even closer to him or risk her being angry with him, he who did nothing wrong in this case. We all know he's going to sacrifice himself this time, so to speak, because he can't hurt Madhu.
One of the biggest reasons - what she said about her biological father. He obviously understands that regardless of what Malik has meant to her (the scene of her in the hospital after the wedding being part of the flashback) she still holds the pain of what her biological father tried to do her inside of her. By bringing Malik's truth to the fore he's going to be adding more wounds to that buried pain, her biological father tried to kill her and her surrogate father is trying to kill her husband (the fact that he would attempt to kill anyone would be upsetting to her obviously). How can he, who himself has hurt her quite a bit, add to that knowing how much she's been doing to heal him.
I don't know that I explained myself all that well but basically, Madhu's pain over her biological father registered with RK and he's trying to protect that by not turning Malik in.
I will end with the same conclusion that everyone else has been coming to, the man is seriously falling for this girl. He wants her close, he needs her close, she affects him in so many ways. I don't think he's ready to label the feelings he's having just yet but I don't think he's going to run scared right away either. I feel like in those moments (like when he pushed her bangs away during the Mr. India breakfast scene) he can't help but give in. For a man that has been hurt and used and abused by pretty much everything in his life it's refreshing to have someone so seemingly pure see something in you that you hadn't even realized was there anymore.

Towards your last post, I would also add this. RK wouldn't want the guilt factor to be added in Madhu's mind like he had added and suffered all his life for his father's death. Madhu definitely would have blamed herself for Shamsher treading on that extreme path. There was already that guilt accepted by her for Malik's condition when she accepted RK's offer of money against marriage with him. Then she already was feeling guilty of her growing regard for RK when she thinks of her father.
Its not difficult for RK to not see this and see at which level Madhu would be hurting most. That of fallen pride for her father...yes, but that was just only to make Malik see where he was going wrong. That was RK's antidote to Shamsher's obsession with his confused "Dileri".
But when thinking of Madhu, the guilt factor weighs. Well, that's how I would have taken it up story wise. Because RK is good and generous, but never for seemingly simple notions of goodness, he does things when it is absolutely needed of him to take care of things. Caring for Madhu to keep her pride is not as important as preserving her from complete breakdown. He has known these two things equally in his life and he knows what hurts most. Its always about the self what it thinks for itself. Guilt goes away with second chances, but what if there is no second chance at all...like cannot UNDO things.

- RK's ishq is caring and being possessive about MB. There's certain level of deewanapan in the way he's after her. Be it to show his smirks or making his peremptory demands, its his expression of admiration for her, attraction for her and the desire to be in her company. Cluelessly enamoured royal tiger...I may as well be shameless and say seems in perpetual heat when around MB.
- MB's Ishq - Am guessing that it too will be possessive like RK. And her ishq so far has an expression of giving spontaneous response to RK's any kind of act. She just can't stop reacting to him. Cluelessly affected by him. She is angry, child-like, demanding, puppy-faced, looking teased and a royal queen.
Junoon -
- Rishabh's junoon is to hide away under his mask or be a recluse in his cave. His junoon is also to conserve his Super Ego. Those who strike it, they are GONE! That's why MB has been the target. She questioned his thought-process, his way of living.
- Madhu's junoon is to fight for others cares without any thought for her. She goes to insane limits. Take the case of Mukund, Shamsher Malik... and now it is RK and her standing up to restore his faith in his friend and care-taker Ganesha'.and soon a day is going to come when she will decide to take care of Rishu, when she understands that RK's way of living is not a living but a coping to live through'..her eternal fight with RK.

At that time for me, RK was the one who lived in his present and Rishabh was one who lived in his past. And Madhu having never met Rishabh, she was affected only by RK, his good and bad included the way he expressed himself as per his whim and wish. If Madhu knew this RK as jaanwar, she also knew him as a man of his word, truthful and finally seeing his softer and responsible side as well.
Today through the song, we get to see their relationship intertwined with their ishq and junoon and losing each to their ishq and junoon. There is a way of influencing each other which causes them to flit between their ishq and junooni selves.
In the hospital, it was RK's ishq and his ishq mein ranga hua attitude with his Biwi by being childishly peremptory in her attention, calling his superwoman Biwi as "chattaan" in her attempts to save him. As Madhu's junoon takes care of him with "dressing of the wound act" setting aside his RK behaviour, our RK gets enamoured and starts looking at her. She prattles on, until she realizes that she doing the RK-speak, his way of taking care of her. This amuses RK as usual and he amusingly snubs her to respect his dialogues if she wants to use them. Wasn't his SMILERK cute there ? These actions naturally affect our Madhu and out comes her affection/ishq for him. As she looks on being so cluelessly affected by him, it makes the deewana RK to stop in his tracks and start his withdrawal.
Isn't then Madhu's ishq his junoon? "Tera Ishq hee mera junoon ...maahi" . Coz by the end of the scene her being affected by him, only makes him more conscious of himself and he starts distancing himself from her.
Didn't that sound bad with the forlorn feeling then Rishabh's junoon is never going to have RK and Madhu to enjoy their ishq. Don't worry. The next scene in the bed-room makes us see how Rishabh's junoon cannot hold-back Madhu's Ishq for RK
Let's now go to the other scene. The bedroom scene. This time how does it start? It starts with Madhu's ishqy behaviour. She is affected so much by her recent sense of loss of RK and her junoon to get back his life. She starts replaying all the events in her mind and all of this only overwhelms her and she starts crying. What happens here then ? RK's ishq comes out. He needs to take care of her. Doesn't she belong to him? Aren't all her worries his ? So he extends his hand and wants to wipe her tears. And because the old nut-case RK has somewhat died with regards to Madhu, Rishabh easily overcomes RK and makes him withdraw his Ishqy gesture. However, he is unable to hold RK back, the RK who feels for Madhu. He not only gives her a tissue to wipe her tears, he also explains how to ignore injuries and stop crying. Is he then thinking here that Madhu may be crying for all the hurt imprinted on her soul ? Or is it that he knows that Rishabh's pain hurts her and so he lets her into Rishabh's mind and shows her how he coped with that pain and she too can ignore in the same manner and all her pain will go away. He tells her how he heard her telling him it is not his fault. So it was all Ishq in their response to each other. The caring RK towards his affected Madhu.
But Madhu doesn't agree with RK that Rishabh's pain can be ignored, for then her RK will never return to her. So out goes her ishqy tears and in comes her smily junoon. As Rishabh tries to push her away from her relentless caring. The scene ending with their junoons in tact, with the sulking Rishabh and smiling Madhu.
Today it was the interplay of Madhubala’s junoon and RK’s Ishq in the scene at the hospital.
Wasn’t he bit peremptory and childishly sulking when he said “museebat ke saamne khadhi ho jaana chattan banke ?” And she like the elder there was admonishing. RK takes it all, teases her and has the SMILERK !!! The scene was the magical moment of when RK’s ishq plays out and bows down to Madhu’s junoon to take care of RK. What was that….her embarrassed that she is saying same thing that once RK said to her, and he gives it back to her …RK ke dialogues churaana …Respect do. Very Cute. VD’s expressions at playing out the childish RK was awesome.
