As for who's gonna fall in love first; this weekend I kind focussed on the background music played over RK-MB scenes. While 90% of the time it is tension, the piano score in variations is being played out whenever RK's attraction or concern for MB has to be shown. Going by that score and number of times or occasions it has played on, it seems RK will fall in love first. To put it more correctly, the creatives are focussing on RK losing himself first in MB's thoughts.

My take for today.
We cannot hope to have dramatic episodes everyday to watch out for our fav hero RK. Sometimes we need him to keep quiet as well.
So it was about emotional states today. Emotions that were felt were Wonder, Frustration, Fear, Happiness, Relief, Hope, Confusion and finally there was some Action as well. Except for RK who is usually the driver of action majorly on most days, today's action was rolled out by Ms.Dipali Sikky Bhatia and Ms.Madhubala Rishabh Kundra. Together they churned out a big portion of action scene with Mrs Radha Kuku Bhatia.
As for the episode today. Quiet and busy. Like the fishes in the acquarium.
Efforts were visible as all characters get back to RK mansion or the studio and life starts to get normal after the Dips-RK storm passes away with as much as damage it could have done to the three stalwarts, RK, Dips and MB.
RK was pretty disturbed at what had ensued. If frustration caused by his Ex-flame Dips was not enough, his mask fell off before his Biwi. Totally flustered. He was unable to concentrate on his lines back in his vanity van. He needed to fix the damage that was done and he just didn't know how to fix.
Bittuji is in agonized state, worrying for his Chief. And Mr.Chief as the dutiful Indian Citizen having full faith on the Indian Police asks his Minister to report the threats to the Police. Chief even dares to cut the call when received again. Bittuji must have though, "Chief toh ab pakka gaye"
Dips was the sly vixen that she has to be. Poor girl! She had no other choice.
Madhu was a confused soul not knowing whether she has to be happy or to worry at the information of her actually having passed the Biwi Examination with Full Marks. In her dilemma, she just decides to return the bangles to her Sasuma. Now was it the real reason or an excuse to go and ask about Dipali. I wonder!
Radhaji was so happy today being the busybody. She had to be one spilling all the beans. Now Dipali has the information that she wants; the 40 lakhs story, Madhu gets to know wherefore RK gets his humanity lesson from, and in turn she is rewarded by Ms.Padmini Choudhary that RK is indeed becoming the Insaan.
Tut Tut !!!! RK what have you done. One mistake ! Biwi hai woh Meri !!! and that's it. The entire female army is preparing a war path for you. Of course, I mean battles need to be waged with all the 4 females either on one-on-one basis or one to two basis. Buck up! I am with you.
And let me not forget Sikky and Kuku.

What do people in Soapland do ?

Madhu- unexpected happens and what does she do ?
- Does she back-trace who must have published if not her? Answer is NO.
- Does she tell it loud and clear that she has NOT done it - NO
- Does she reveal that someone had put the envelop of photos at her door in the dead of the night, surmising that person may have done it ? NO
- She is just shocked and petrified.
RK - the undesired happens and what does he do ?
- Does he call the Press and find out who gave them the story? NO
- Does Bittuji employ his secretariat skills to dig out the information? NO
- He is just angry and vengeful.
Apparently it was a murder committed- Murder of RK memories and yet no investigation.
What? This is not Sony's Crime Patrol? Okay ! My mistake.
Let's get to the kitchen of RK world.
The Modaks got stuffed with garam-masala.
- And apparently Madhu who prepared those modaks under self-supervision, does not feel any itch to know who may have done it.Nor Radhaji does.
- Now which house-wife @real can ignore mishaps and not get to the bottom of it?

I liked the way cv's are taking this ganapathi track...Instead of just showing that his faith in
God renewed once he falls in Love...they actually have a track to deal with one of
RK's demons...a 12 year old's lost trust in his true friend,his Bappa...I just loved
the precap scene wherein RK has a one on one confrontation with Bappa and in all his anguish confronts his friend with questions pestering him for years...We all go through
similar kind of phases wherein we might question the omniscience and omnipotence
of the almighty when we feel that he didn't aid us in our darkest hour... Madhu successfully
forced Rishabh to come out and face this pain...
Best scene was the one where RK even after persistant trying was not able to go ahead
with the drinking...his inner conscience was not letting him to ignore Bappa...his true friend
with whom he has a relationship dil se...and we know RK is one for everlasting
relationships...He might be upset but, incapable of severing any relationships...
I applaud the creatives for bringing this track dealing with RK's trust issues ahead of the
actual falling in love track...Though Love changes the way a person percieves things,
it need not be the only way to show how its attained...

Just one thing, the revelation, a little peep into Madhu's history was such an awaited drama for me, I had imagined that it would happen in a special track. Instead it was not even a full minute dialogue ! And RK, the sensitive person that he is, doesn't much show a facial expression change, although the fact that he registered was seen. Sigh!!!!
Come to think of it, if they are gonna grind everyday about RK's loss of childhood, death of his father, then pretty much, there is no hope left for the show.

If the writer's have half a brain, they will pitch it that this is not news to RK. When he decided to go all revenge-fu on Madhu, he had found out EVERYTHING about her. He would probably have known the big story re psycho dad of death. So he wasn't surprised.
The revelation is not the big development. The fact that Madhu CHOSE to reveal it to him , is.

Yes FQ. Agree there. I did not care to word it properly, but the drama of Madhu revealing in this manner, in a comparative way, with those eyes, I always imagined it in my mind that it would happen in a context quite different from today. Fine if she said it here today, she(as in the dialogue writer) could have made her emphasizing her argument through questioning RK, if she too like have lost all faith ? As in repeat the same thing but in a different tone. It drives hard. Its not RK whom I am concerned about. Its about the AUDIENCE, the Viewer mind that I am concerned about here. It needed to be hammered in public memory with certain level of heightened emotion concentrating on her part of story and why she will not sympathize with him. It would have made me happy then.
I found it interesting that she CHOSE to reveal this to him at this moment. I would have preferred it be in some other context, I would have preferred it to be just the two of them perhaps.
FQ I doubt very much that they're going to play this out as RK knowing about this little tidbit, but who knows they might surprise us yet. Maybe it was meeting her father in the jail cell that kind of tipped him off to something. That would make that little scene a little bit more relevant.
SD, I was a little saddened by her bringing up her father and the history there. I'm going to borrow a bit that FQ wrote in her FQNama for this episode:
Madhu reveals her own life story. Everybody is aghast. FQ may have teared up a little bit. And then what do the Wriiters do? In the worst bit of writing in the history of the world, and I am including the Houseful scripts in the reckoning, they end not on the pathos of that, but on the screwed up bit of paper M is carrying aound tied in her pallu. Just slay me now. No mockery can be mocking enough.
That is exactly how I felt when I watched that.. I was a little disappointed. That's how she's going to reveal it, it was a bit of a throwaway comment to be followed up by more revelations about the oh so compelling kabob storyline that we've been waiting to be continuted with baited breath. It was the most frustrating thing so I decided to concentrate on the fact that now RK had another piece to his Madhu puzzle that he could tuck away and bring out again when the time was right. I really hope they revisit this because I feel like a door was propped open with that line.

See FQ herself said it what I was feeling. That is what I exactly felt. How demeaning. It was me the AUDIENCE cringing. I needed to hear Madhu painful saga in response to; like what 8 minutes of RK harangue. But what do I get to hear? Its like the crpytic message from World War II sent messages...the important is buried underneath the rubbish.

Call me a fanatic... but dramatizing Defiance through eating of a Kebab is not going well with me. This could have been avoided. If this was not a blunder by the show-makers, then I don't know what else can be called a blunder.
And what's up with Madhu anyways ? Why does she have to repeat, "Tumhaari himmat kaise hui ?" Can't she just show some intelligence and not let it happen ? It would save her from saying that boring line.

WOW!!!! Wasn't it filmy today ? I felt as if I was watching a movie in Dolby Atmos. Wow!!!! the sound effects and when RK falls down with a THUD!!! , it was like INTERMISSION within the movie hall.
Myself, Peach and Preet yesterday were discussing if Madhu will react to this situation that RK is in as his Wife or just as the compassionate person she is. I was arguing, without any external catalyctic activity, Madhu will not act like the Wife overtly. She would need something that will make her claim her rights and position as RK's wife. Screentime
The first 16 minutes until RK's falling down was enjoyable and we could ignore the editing errors. Though RK's vermilion face and RK's clean face in the same sequential shots could have been managed by the creatives in a better manner there. That was too tardy to ignore !!!!
But the last 4 minutes...utter waste of screen time. It was a total editing catastrophe in those 4 minutes. Repeats, Illogical and what not !!!

So the CVs decided to skip the chamatkaar part. Or rather audience is not allowed to know what caused RK's change of heart. But we see him dancing and enjoying and almost in a trance.
The illogical Screenplay other than to have RK lose himself to Ganesha and get shot by Sultan manages to plant Kukku and Sikki right with the ladies when the ever-so efficient Bittuji manages to get himself lost, only to magically appear besides RK's downed body.
I wonder why was Kukkuji looking at the sky as if searching for someone ?
I do not want to look for any symbolism. But can't help wondering...
What must have been RK thinking the moment he knows he got shot and he looks at Ganesha ...End of his misery ? What is the biological explanation to anyone holding on to anything while falling down. Ofcourse I am hinting at the garland he manages to pull down with him.
I do know what Madhu must be thinking now. She may ask Ganesha, why did you do this ? when he already surrendered himself to you ?? And maybe that's the reason she will walk to Siddhi Vinayak.
I wonder why Malik and Trishna did not join Padmini, or is it because they were with the big Murti ?

Watched the episode. These were the beautiful and symbolic moments today.
- Ganesh Visarjan scenes in night vision -SYMBOLIC
Symbolically it meant end of RK. Ganesha is immersed because we create him, we give a form to our God and when it is time to let-go, we immerse him in water so that the clay dissolves and Ganesha once again becomes formless. So is RK by the end of Visarjan is literally on deathbed and also figuratively the man Rishabh Kundra had let go his RKesque image that he extremely loved all these years.

He kept opening eyes. To facilitate the dialogue delivery for Radhaji and Madhu on his behalf as RK doesn't allow these two women to show any concern, care or affection for him. This is Purely for Audience to understand the implications. You want to look for meaning ? That is the meaning. The two dearest women, close to his heart in the purity of his Anger. One he decided to ignore (his mom) and the other he had decided to keep her close forever (his wife).
Question is what will happen now when lives through this mishap ? Will he allow these two women to shower care and affection on him ? Everyone is concerned about Madhu. But what about Radhaji ?
I really have no guesses. Rishabh lost himself to Ganesha and in that moment he saw everyone (the three important women in his life now, mother, biwi and saasuma) and acknowledged none except for Ganesha.
If gets saved and his faith on Ganesha remains intact, then he will have to let go his anger on his mother and Madhu as well. And that would mean not ignoring Radhaji and sending away Madhu.
That's my 2 cents.

Just building up of her excitement levels on what she should feel about RK now. Purely relevant only to Madhu. No RK did not see Madhu, unless CVs tomorrow decide to show as if he remembers her. Then that would just mean poor editing and acting and directing today.

When she sees RK in the OT on the bed and when sees the open wound, Madhu's heart-beat increases. She gets panicky. And what does Madhu do in panic ???? She chants her Veer, Dheer and Balbeer Mantra. Earlier when was stuck in the studio at the bridge, RK came to her rescue. Now she is chanting again. So any guesses who will come to her rescue ? Well not yet...Let's wait for the drama to unfold a little bit.
Establishing and Demolishing of relationships.
1. Madhu - Radhaji bonding. - Established and Cemented now.
Madhu told the mother, Rishabh is a fighter and has always fought in his life. So this too, he will be fighting. And that Bappa cannot let himself lose his devotee when he won him after this long time. There was conviction and a bonding. Madhu made her mother Padmini proud there and made Deepali completely go green with jealousy and red with rage. Just like her saree.
2. Madhu - Deepali confrontation - Devrani -Bhabhi rishta demolished.
So Madhu declared that she is RK's wife and will never leave him. Completion of the circle. Two weeks back RK said that and now Madhu says it. The money-offer from Deepali left Madhu on that day to declare herself that all matters between RK and her were to be dealt in private way with 3rd person to come in between. Today, when it is the question mark on RK's existence, it becomes also the case of Madhu's identity. Deepali with her green face could not control herself and she had to make Madhu acknowledge all the latent rishta between herself and RK.
Well atleast the Biwi fumed just like RK fumed at intruder.
3. Deepali
She was selfishly concerned. She was concerned because her pack of cards was falling. And what would she do now ?? Its the frenzy of a psycho mind.
4. Kukku and Sikky Bhatia -- The clowns
Do I need even to talk about them. Perfect examples of parasites. Leech.
The way Kukku looked at Sikky for saying out Bandook, it hinted that both Kukku and Sikky are together in the plan to extort money out of RK. They would rather have him die than live. Yes, they get to keep RK's property. Good move but they may fail as usual !
5. Bittuji
Finally the news is out. Everyone has heard that Sultan has called Bittuji minutes before the shooting happened. So no worries of any ugly dramas now.
Ganesh Chaturthi to Visarjan track - Symbolism
Ganesh Chaturthi to Visarjan track is a watershed moment of RK and Madhu's lives.
First time it is that RK was not treating Madhu as his game, property or Biwi, or competitor or felt vulnerable before her.
First time SOMEONE else became more important than his obsession for Madhu.
- It is solely RK's long-due confrontation and make-up with Ganesha. A part of his anger quenched and peace made. RK loses, almost dies, Rishabh and Ganesha win.
- It is soley Madhu's testing of her faith in Ganesha and guided through his faith to accept herself as RK's Wife (Dharampatni). Madhu loses all the anger for RK and now just wants RK wake up and fight with her to give her a reason to start fighting against him for a win. She feels lost without RK now and looks to Ganesha.
Now that is really something.
Wow!!!!!
In this track, there were no skewed gains or losses for anyone. It was equally distributed for everyone. All the characters.
Once again Wow!!!
One bad thing though ...
The direction and screenplay was not good at all to get this concept presented in such a manner that audience understood it with ease.

Not much of an episode except certain important things to be noticed by three supremely honest characters.
Madhu
Madhu donates her blood to RK as they have a matching blood group. Now that Madhu's blood runs in his body, how will he feel when he knows about that.
Madhu's realization of the unknown rishta with RK through the song Darmiyaan. It was beautiful.
Madhu realizing that her promise to Radha about returning her son had to twisted by God in this manner. She is asked by Radhaji to go to Siddhi Vinayak temple to seek Ganesha's blessings for RK's life. Madhu agrees.
Bittuji
Bittuji was crying so much. He truly loves his chief. And the only person who consoled him was Madhu.
And likewise, Bittuji was the one other than Padmini who was watching everyone's interaction around Madhu. He noticed how Madhu was taking care of her MIL. He noticed how unflinchingly she set out to go to the temple even in that weak health condition. And he was watching how Dipali was bad-mouthing Madhu.
I wonder if he tell his chief what was going on in the hospital.
Padmini
She was proud that her daughter's blood matched with RK and she's gonna be his saviour. What makes her so happy, I don't know. But she was just happy as any well-wishing mother for her daughter's life.
She declared to her daughter that she is now self-qualified Hauslon wali and doesn't need her mother's support anymore when she chants, Veer, Dheer and Balbeer mantra.
And Padmini was also very upset at how Deepali was demeaning and deglorifying Madhu's deeds.
The vultures around the Dying Man
I would like to bring to everyone's attention that, Madhubala is a story against filmi back-ground. And clearly we see, how a film-star, the sole earning member of the family is surrounded by scavenging family. Relatives just feed on the star's income. Reminds me of a lot of film-stars stories. See there RK nearly dying and look at the four Bhatias ...total scavengers.
The closest people to RK are no the side-lined ones
And the trusted aide of the Chief is no longer kept in loop by the Police. Its the reality sometimes and partly a clunky plot that the police forgets to appraise Bittuji about their findings.
And likewise, the Madhubala becomes a target of ridicule the moment she steps away from the scene. Legally Madhubala is wife of RK and I think Deepali is already making plans to send her away permanently.
The Ugliest thing to watch ...SPINELESS and SELFISH RADHA -JI
How could she have allowed Dipali to talk in that manner ? Where is all this leading to ? That of brain-washing RK's mind ?
12th October 2012 - Madhu's negotiation with Bappa at the temple and keeps faith in Bappa and brings back the clinically dead RK back to life
The episode started with Madhu's negotiation with Ganapati. Give me back RK's life in return for all these years devotion to you. And why that negotiation? She says, "Rishabh ke andar maine apka ka vishwaas jagaya diya hai. Lekin ab mere andar ka vishwaas na bujh jaaye, woh aapki zimmedari hai."
What happened just before the Lekin ? Madhu was seeing RIshabh dancing away in trance, She had seen that Rishabh had gained faith and before she could even have a full look into his eyes, and before she could even express her delighted joy to him, "see I told you, that Bappa will restore your peace", Rishabh took a mortal wound and was about to die. She had so much to talk to her adversary and she never got the chance. So she argues before her Bappa, "Aapko ye saabit karna hoga ki main sahi thee aur woh aapko pathar kehne waala galat tha"
And because, somewhere down this time Madhu had immersed her hesitation to accept how she is bound to RK, she becomes desperate and as his Dharam-patni seeks justice for her husband. She demands God in very matter of principle manner, "Ek baar aap dhoka de chuke hain, ab nahin, ab apne dost ka vishwaas bachaane ka waqt aa gaya hai"
It was beautiful, negotiation loaded with argument and stressing of principle.
Then within the hospital, when doctors give up, I loved how Madhu again slowly starts from periphery and finally calls out to RK to wake up if she means anything to him. She starts with asking him to wake up for himself, his might, his stubborness, his attitude, for his responsibility as the superstar towards his work, his fans, for everything that the man stood for and was known as to the world. He doesn't wake up. She then tries to invoke his latent feelings for his mother, that doesn't serve the purpose. Then she just tries to bait him, don't you want to play with your favourite toy, your Biwi. "Tumhe mujhe Biwi bulaake , dhauns jamaane ka dil nahin kar raha ?"
She almost breaks down here. A thing that used to vex her when he was alive, suddenly seems the only thing they ever shared with each other. The tease and vex. And now she decides to tease him and vex him. You have only two options...Wake up or wake up...poor girl, she almost broke down there.
But why the breakdown ...because of disbelief that the RK who was such a formidable person was being written-off. How was that possible in any manner. How can one believe that. So what does she do. Start chanting her God!! Let him take care...
Beautiful.
Other things that stood out.
Bittuji - Just as much Madhu understood RK, he too knows his chief that well. Like Madhu cannot believe that RK can die, so Bittuji cannot believe it.
Radhaji - She redeemed herself twice today. 1) when she defended Madhu before Dipzy's ****
2) When she finally shirked her complaisance in being told without the option to question. She just got up in rage and went to the OT room ready to ask, how can her son die. Finally, this woman found courage and asked something for her and her son which looked good in every angle.
Padmini - For the first time I loved this woman. No doubt she is a beautiful woman. She was equally in pain for a man who doesn't much respect her, she was being empathetic to a peer person; Radhaji who was inconsolably broken and she was just with her daughter. Totally self-less, An ethereal spirit. No wonder, she still remains married to Ballu. She has lot to give and nothing to want.
Siddhi-Vinayaka - How beautiful he looked in that orange color and that trunk swaying to the right. Its the direction of his drunk that makes him Siddhi Vinayaka. What is Siddhi ? It is attainment. I went to visit him, offer my prayer to him once when I was in Mumbai. I had gone there for my job interview at CCIL for which I had been trying for sometime. Interview went extremely well. I was prepared and I asked my local guardian to take me to the temple. And he did. That night I took my return train to Hyd. Later I did get the job.
*****8th October to 12th October - Landmark to Rishbala story*****
Coming to the short summary of what passed in the weeks past post Stranded at the Studio track. Three tracks started in tandem one after the other.
- Dipali Track
- Ganesh Sthapna and Visarjan track
- RK as extortion target track
We can conclude that Dipzy's purpose in the story is served. She was supposed to be a catalyst for RK and MB to come closer. And that has happened. Rishbala now not only share the room together, they share the bed too with the pillows as the divider. RK upheld his 4-phera marriage with MB and vowed that he will never forget honouring her as his wife. Likewise MB too declared to Dipzy, she will fulfil all the responsibilies of being RK's Dharam-patni even if it was the 4-phera marriage.
Further Dipzy's endevors to separate the duo worked contrarily, with RK and MB accepting what they are to each other and to Dipzy and how they will not allow a third person to come in between them. Trust on each other leads them to share a comfort level with each other that allows them to have small talks, smile and take liberties with each other to care for the other in the manner they want to. Be it RK holding her leg or calling her to bed or MB indulging in wifey-talk of wanting to know the color preference or asking hubby when he is gonna tie the mauli, or both refusing to answer each other's questions without cudgels in their hands to blow each others brains.
What was interesting for me to watch in the last two weeks was MB smiling for the first time in front of RK and happily smiling at him behind his back. What was even more interesting was the title track of MEIEJ played when they were having these cute moments. Yes, if people have noticed, it is the song from Chalti ka Naam Gaadi picturized on Actress Madhubala and sung by Kishore Kumar.
This leads me to bring to your attention the 100 years of commemoration of cinema in MEIEJ story. Time and again we see the filmy style of presentation rather than the soapland presentation. Be it copy-cat scene from Deewar when RK starts ringing the small bell before Ganesha or the presenting us the Real-life resurrection of Amitabh Bacchan in the aftermath of fatal accident he had on the coolie set.
We now go to the second track - Ganesha
This is a landmark to Rishbala story. And one cannot stop wanting to go on what it meant for Rishbala. I would resist myself becoming a spill and will just summarize in short.
The track metaphorically establishes dissolution of RK and MB that they have been all this time in order to get assimilated with God only to be blessed by HIM to have each other albeit in set path of trials and tribulations. Following God has never been easy. Won't you agree with that.
What this track achieves is:
- MB takes the cue from RK and like him decides to care for him and the first step that she takes is to heal him by addressing his past hurts. She can do nothing to return his Dad, but she can try to get him reconciled to his friend Bappa and his Momma. A thing that MB may never have imagined to do for a man who ruined her life.
- RK allows his wife to be a catalyst in him regaining his faith for Bappa. A thing that RK never allowed anyone to work upon him.
- RK regains his faith making it a symbolic end of RK and rebirth of Rishabh Kundra.
- And when Bappa seems to be claiming RK all for himself, She asks Bappa to give him back to keep her promise to his mother and for Rishabh's sake. She is ready to forego her faith if Bappa doesn't heed to her prayers. A real drama of a clinical death of RK and resurrection of Rishabh Kundra through faith.
The extortion track keeps moving in parallel, with viewers being reminded how the Film Industry is affected with extortion related crimes. Goes back to MEIEJ being the supposed commentary on the Bollywood. Now that RK is out of danger, there is a big question on who actually shot RK. Interesting theories have come through these discussions leading us to discuss Shamsher Malik's possible involvment in trying to kill RK and what may be his motives. For the purpose of dramatics, the CVs choose to take extortion to back-seat and make the shoot-out case like Gulshan Kumar murder case. Remember Nadeem got him killed. LOL!

Three things worth noticing and paying our attention.
1) RK not letting go of Madhu's hands even in unconscious state. And when forced to let go under external influence(such as the drug administered to him yesterday), it leaves him lifeless and Madhu takes care of it. Poorly shot, far-fetched dramatic situation, but the dramatics drive the point to everyone. That is the essence of Rishbala relationship. Symbolic and foreboding of their future.

2) Madhu claiming that RK would have done the same for her had she been dying instead of him. She did see a little of that there in the studio. Right?

3) The path set for anguish on all sides. Hurt Shamsher stabs all of us with his statement he does doesn't know what kind of magic spell has RK cast on his daughter Madhu, that she saved a man who ruined her life and left her father to die. He was saying "I would rather had been dead in the hospital than to see this day."
Madhu to be torn between her past and her future. She loves both, but shall not be able to keep them together unless a blend into a present is achieved. which is not gonna happen any sooner in the show.

Collated Summary: 16th Oct 2012
Best scene of the day was Bittuji expressing his gratitude to Madhu for her kindness towards his chief inspite of all the bad they showered on her. I loved the dialogues, acting of the scene and the bonding of the characters came out very well. Its now one of my repeat watch-list of scenes.
Hilarious scene was when Kukku Bhatia or rather Raza Murad, gives the "there she goes again" expression when Radhaji starts crying Rishooo. The scene with Baap-Beta acting was simply hilarious. Albeit a scene not needed, atleast they made us laugh.
Dipzy is scaring me. First off what's up with the MEIEJ team ? Why did they want to induce suspense-thriller elements of Ghost-show ?
Doesn't Colors have any ghost shows in its repertoire like the Star and Zee ? They just had to dress Dipzy in black with lot of that black kohl/liner around the eyes and had to get the taveez
It was like watching Kahin Kisi Roz !!! Mouli against Sudha Chandran.
And RK's violent jerks...the scene was not so gripping for me to watch, but then, leaving aside all the jokes that I read over the forum, I must say, RK's calling out his Dad's name in this state made absolute sense. Don't we all know, that RK has Rishu and his Dad's memories frozen in Time capsule. It was bound to happen.
Radhaji seriously needs to be packed off somewhere. Can't stand her weighty face and wet-eyes anymore. No! Shama was good in Kutumb. Cute. Now what happened ? She put on so much weight and has taken this stupid role.
Anyways ...bottom-line is other than Bittuji's performance today, the episode was quite boring. Boring than yesterday.

RK-Rishabh-Madhu
I loved him calling her Madhu. And that too so many times, trying to find out what transpired in the night and why she was taking care of him. Our temporarily Geet-turned-Madhu is evasive of all RK-Rishabh's prying prods, looks and touches.
Loved how she too referred the irritating pillows into the conversation like our dear Sonu. Their penchant!
They played the two tracks around them. The Madhubala -title track tune (Ek ladki bheegi bhaagi si tune) and the piano track. I like these tracks. Makes me feel very much assured.
Honestly I did not like the OST Hum Deewane hai. Its not impressive at all. In comparison, you should listen to DABH and Afsar Bitiya OSTs. How melodious and beautiful they are. Infact DABH track made me watch the show for some days. And the PH-Sourabh Tiwari's plan to use the song now at this time was kinda rushed, however it presented the much needed screen time for RK and Madhu story to play out. We can just look at both of them.
So am I right when I say that RK was actually was seeing Madhu peeping through the peep hole ? I sensed it that way. Did you all sense that way ?

Tanu calls it door scene
Tanu beautifully expresses the torment of the two souls of RK and Madhu. The Need to be hidden and Need to be found Aura of Rishabh Kundra and the Need to care and Need to hold back feelings of Madhubala. Very beautifully written with her further going into the lyrics of the OST plated today. Must read one.
And Leela liked the song and has given her take on Madhu and rigmarole of emotions that she is going through, broadly stemming from her deewangi to care for Rishabh Kundra. Its on Page 2.
Let me forget Doctor-Bittuji, Madhu-Radhaji and Madhu-Padmini scenes. Only one thing worth noticing and that is Padmini's Mangal sutra became the shorter one. Seems she misplaced her original longer chain one.
RK-Dips scene.
Happy that RK was still RK. He needs that exterior to protect himself, and not just for our entertainment. Dips will just eat him alive like a witch if RK becomes Rishabh in front of her. I could tolerate the scene as through the day I had lived the horror of the scene until FQ injected me with that hope potion of hers which leads us to believe that RK knows that their blood groups don't match. Ref to FQ from FQnama of 17th Oct. Fictional imagination and not shown in the soap drama today

Other than the highlight of the episode...Shamsher Malik, the interesting things in today's episode were:
The fight
Seeing Rishabh and Madhubala Kundra fighting together against the killer. I just loved the scene, both on the same side and yet not doing the eye-locks or caring-sharing. They just were in action.
The mockery
And if yesterday's episode ended at the counter-question of Madhu to Rishabh Kundra, and he was stupefied, Madhu today quickly brought her concern into action. She knows Rishabh's need to be concealed behind RK. So she immediately makes it light by turning the seriousness into a mockery of him.
Waise Rishabh Kundra mere hosh mein aate hee tum mujhpe ahsaan jataate
Rishabh catches that and answers back
Mazaak lagta hai yeh sab tumhe
That definitely takes them to a next level, where Rishabh can be mocked and he retorts just in vexation at being mocked and not turn into a RK. Isn't that an achievement for Madhu that she did not let Rishabh become a RK when trying to answer her mockery ?
Last one was insight into Deepali -- for the first time.

Episode 18th October 2012: Trust and Resassurance
Like I was saying to Pippa, today's episode, although if on surface brought back The RK we know and love, today we completely understand why he is THE RK, how he evolved in that manner and why is so different from Rishabh Kundra. We get to know him through the three female characters he gets to interact today.
I would title today's episode as Trust and Reassurance
Trust and Reassurance - Madhubala the fortunate.
She is no longer confident. She cannot trust herself on what she is doing. What seems right seems wrong also. And what is supposed to be wrong is actually correct as well. She doesn't know what has happened to her or what is happening to her. She is yearning to take care of someone whom she should not care for and who would not allow her to take care. She is upset that she is breaching trust on both family side and also hurting the man by she is supposed to hate.
What kind of dilemma is this ?
And so we have the song. It should have been played today instead of yesterday. But no worries, Episodic screenplay may aisa aage -peeche ho jaata hai, with all those ad breaks, precaps and daybreaks.
However, does this dilemma get resolved for Madhu. Through her mother.
She trusts her mother and she is reassured by her mother that what she feels now is not wrong. She reinstates Madhu's shift of RK view as plausible as RK is not the bad man but a good man, which Madhu could see.
What do we have here ? A beautiful scene that makes us happy looking at the confident mother and reassured daughter. Weren't we all happy when Madhu smiled through her tears ? Under these circumstances, how can anyone say, Madhu is not going to remain innocent and good person all her life (assuming Padmini is going to be like this.)
Trust and Reassurance - Rishabh Kundra the Unfortunate.
He needs to know what happened, when he was unconscious there. And who can he turn to ? He tried to check with his wife. Didn't we all listen how he was addressing her as Madhu trusting her completely. His wife was evasive towards his questions, though her exuberant joyful act gave up on her. He is still smarting to know and there comes his ex-love who jilted him in the past, claiming that she saved him and given him his blood. Can he trust her ? No. But who is going to reassure him that what he thinks is right. That Dips cannot be the person who could save him. Enter his mother. Although Rishabh cannot trust her, but he looked at her with the last straw kind of thing and asked her, who gave him blood. The mother is stupefied. And she looks at her DIL as if that DIL is going to come for her rescue. The mother couldn't even look into her son's eyes and refuse to give answer. She had to act dodgy. Rishabh is a person who wants everything in its honesty given back to him straight whether it is to bless him or curse him. Mrs. Bhatia fails miserably to reassure Rishabh on anything.
And there seethes out the RK out of Rishabh Kundra. The RK who is going to protect Rishabh Kundra from people whom he cannot trust and cannot have any kind of assurance of bonding.
His RK act gets him the information he was seeking. I feel for this man. It was painful for me to watch Rishabh Kundra's predicament until this point. I mean how he just has to become a mean person to counter meanness around him without any choice.
Reassurance leading to Trust - between the adversaries RK and Madhubala
Its a very conceited act of RK, which initially the trusting Madhubala doesn't understand and ends up giving away her perturbed expressions at finding out RK-Dips Love story. Is this the man that she knows of him as ? But then, it starts to reassure him that he is on the right track. Then soon the conceited drama hits her and she sees through it to know what RK is upto. A reassured look appears and she watches the rest of the drama unfold. Truth out.
RK and Madhubala come to face each other to address the unsettling question. Why Madhu donated her blood to RK, a person who inflicted worst kind of torments over her soul and family. Do they trust each other while asking and being asked ? Yes, they do. And what do they do ? RK doesn't yell "OUT" likes he yells at Dips and his mother. Madhu musters her courage to speak up what she has to. She answers him back trustingly, "Won't you have done the same if I were in your position ?" and looks for reassurance that she did the right thing. That vulnerable look of Madhu's; wanting to do the right thing for herself; pushes back RK and brings forth Rishabh Kundra again, a man who wants to care for others, who would assure people that he is there for them.
Rishabh Kundra and RK's concerns have always been not get vulnerable before anyone. They can protect others, but cannot seek help from others. But today the question is going even beyond that. Its time for Rishabh to set aside his vulnerability and take care of the question that Madhu asked him mildly in doubt "Won't you have done the same if I were in your position ?" It had not been an easy act for his adversary in showering her kindness, then can he not shower a little understanding on his adversary for the same. Reassurance leading to Trust. Not that they become lovers or something. They are still adversaries but all in faith.
P.S: When a person comes back to consciousness, it really matters for the person to know what transpired when he was zoned out. And this becomes significant for control-freaks like RK or Rishabh Kundra. If one is surrounded by good people around by him/her, the person sets aside the questions for later time even though his mind gnaws to know what happened. This is rarely shown over TV. And in MEIEJ we are seeing it because this is RK who is projected as guy who has his fears and all. But at real, the thing to know is present. First hand example is me.
Episode 19th October 2012 : Who is Shamsher Malik? A real life hero ?
It was not a beautiful episode which I wanna watch again. It was just the needed move to the next track. Shamsher Malik Vs RK. My title for the new track will be .. I don't have any... But I need to understand Shamsher Malik today, who was never important for me in the story until today when I saw Rishabh and Madhubala Kundra together were fighting against him, foiling his attempt to kill RK.
I am certainly not sure what CVs have in their mind when turning Shamsher Malik into a killer. Seriously a killer ?
Where is all this going to ? I am not going into the very much mundane analysis of the obvious...the impact of this on Madhubala when the two most important men in her life are pitted against each other. For now the reality for her through the viewer eyes is this:
One is saving the other though he was the cause for the other's dying
One is killing the other because he was the cause for his ruin.
RK's treatment No.1 of Shamsher - Fair and Square
Beat him enough that he is unable to get up and yet cannot die . Then leave him to die. Who does that ? What triggers that ? Shamsher tried to assault him. And the way he could beat up all the security around RK, Shamsher was very much in for brutal vendetta.
RK's treatment No.2 of Shamsher - as a Pawn
Use him and his situation to get even with his so-called daughter Madhubala. Mind it the pawn was not important, it was the prize that was coveted by RK.
RK's treatment No.3 of Shamsher - Taking care of Sasurji
Somewhere down the line, RK had accepted that Madhubala is his wife, then it becomes fair and reasonable to take care of his Sasurji. How is that any different from him taking care of the Bhatias ? Not much. isn't it ?

Isn't it strange that Shamsher seems to have been in a frozen state with only one thought "I want to finish you" ? Is there something more to it ? Something more than just finishing RK ? Ofcourse, the CVs are not going to go so deep as me...but then I would like to know what makes a man lose his reason and take Godly matters into their hands.
What makes RK lose his reason and take Godly matter of teaching Madhubala into his hands. He is self-professed diabolical man and he has every right to do it. Agree! we have seen that.
What makes Shamsher lose his reason and take Godly matters such as killing a monster into his hands. He is a hero, a knight in shining armor and has to do something to save the honour of the people depending on him. Hmmm! I can see that.
Now can I have the title ? The Knight in the shining armor versus the Monster
Whether RK is a monster or not. We have analysed a lot. We know what he is.
Is Shamsher truly a hero ? Truly a knight in shining armor ?
He saved Padmini and her daughters once when Balraj the monster was there to kill them. A black and white act of the hero versus the villain which Shamsher got to play at real when he had been playing the same act in make-believe world of cinema as the stunts-man. Playing with weaponry, those fights are part of his every day life. And the same he could use as his skills to save the women in trouble in real life.
What was he actually before he became the hero for the three women?
An actor who left his native place in Punjab, came to Mumbai with dreams of becoming a hero on the celluloid. He couldn't be successful. He just ended up being a stuntsman. Not even earned a chance to act as a villain. Did it hit him hard when RK taunted, "Sasurji aapko to villain hona chaahiye tha filmon mein ?" Could be !
Somewhere between the failed attempts at becoming the hero, he had his peace with becoming the hero to the three women. And he truly revelled in this role-play of his. A savior.
And when he fails to save the second time, what kicks into his thinking once he gets back his consciousness.

So that is our Shamsher. He is seeing himself as a failure and it gets magnified when he is pitted against a man who is a HERO on the celluloid which used to be his dream, which now is the dream passed on towards his elder daughter. Projections of his sister and his dreams on Trishna...to turn her into a reel life heroine.
What was he citing his reasons to hate RK?

Just as the woman (Padmini) he saved, lives in her idyllic world, so is Shamsher Malik who refuses to let go of the dreamy world which talks about fair men standing against evil men and Hero needs to vanquish the Villain.
Just like RK, Shamsher doesn't carry any reason on his head when he tries to become the killer. He has to be the story-book hero. However that was the first time. He definitely was the hero when he barged into the studio in broad day-light and confronted RK.
But the second time around, may be the thought is there to be the hero, but his act is not of the knight in shining armor. Or is there you think ? Why the attacks in a masked manner ? Because the opponent is all too powerful ?
Whatever...But did he see that his daughter, whose honor he was trying to save was actually fighting to save his opponent. Does it sound wierd to him ? Of course it does. Hence these words

Coz once he is able to finish the monster, his daughter will be free from the magical cage that has totally changed her beyond his recognition.
Well that was our dreamy Real life Hero Shamsher Malik against the Reel life hero RK.
What an irony that Real life hero act is so unreasonable when viewed from prevailing laws of human society, as seen in conventional ethics. Knights do not exist. One doesn't take law into their hands. Shamsher cannot think beyond this and perhaps that is the reason, it never occurred to him that his stay-put hero-act is not actually sanctioned by society which RK so easily ridicules him for. He takes care of a woman that is not his wife and raises two girls like his own daughters. Does Shamsher understand the ignominy that Padmini and his daughters may have gone through in their life on account of his knight status ?
What an irony that the RK who is a monster actually in real life takes heed of societal laws and does not kill Shamsher and when decides to destroy the woman, he provides her with a dignified status sanctioned by society. He makes her his wife. RK taunts Shamsher ''Aapki naajayez beti to Jaayez Biwi banaya hai maine" Does that hurt Shamsher in any manner ?
We all know why RK is a Reel hero. Because in real life he could not be a hero to his father..
I am caught in this uninteresting situation, forced to watch the two men. Until the two men understand each other, that they are mirror images of each other, that they both are the heroes in real life as well, they are not going to be at peace. Each needs to know the story of the other. Another epic story there. Can Madhubala please build a bridge between the two to end the vendetta ? Please ...
