Fourth Set that MEIEJ created besides the water-body (talaab/pond).

  1. They use it for RK meditation trips as in being in thoughts with his father.
  2. Used as cremation ground for Mohan Kundra
  3. Used for RK telling his "Teen Dhoke"
  4. Using now for Madhu and RK's saat phere. (You can see the same wooden frame which will soon hold the noose for Madhu when Balraj kidnaps her and brings to this same place.)
  5. Using for PAdmini and Shamsher Marriage
  6. Kidnapping Jahsn by Balraj

Creative Art Director, Locations Manager and Stunts Director. What a crew !!!! Running by given budget. What a recycling!!!!

The dark/black columns will turn to clean beige and red hued columns in shaadi  and kidnapping sequences.

The team's efforts
I will appreciate the CVs that as a team, they have a strong foundation. Almost everyone in their crew agrees on the vision, which is entertainment FILMI style. So everything is BOMBASTIC. And so filmi hero, filmy heroine and filmy dialogues and filmy kahani.  Then I also like the fact that, their love story has a progression that is very human. This appeals to all age groups. The passion gives meaning to all age groups because we cannot say that old people stop loving or don't know what is romance. But since their story is not that smooth, the love story has adult questions, principles challenged which appeal the grown ups as well, which is the TRP generating group. Then I like the actors commitment to this drama.

Stunts...yes we laugh. But thank God! we don't have real life villainous fights. Those are ugly and we cannot even sleep after reading about them in newspapers. So anyone looking for reality, may just replace Balraj kidnapping Madhu and having that noose with song and dance, with her being trapped in a dungeon with people trying to touch her...the noose drama is much better.

Atleast after a decade (isn't it about that time when Ekta popularised Saas Bahu sagas), they have brought through MEIEJ, a soap like NUKKAD back on TV. Nukkad was human and entertaining with best actors in the serial. For those who do not know, it as a Doordarshan soap in 80's. MEIEJ holds the same canvas with entertainment. Aaj iski kahani kal uski kahani, in the same RK-MB world. Do I not see the same Nukkad in Balika Vadhu then ? NO. Nope, That serial has objective and social message, but it is low on entertainment for me. It is definitely not rugged and fast like Nukkad style.

My response
Thank you Angeena. You pulled the article here before it was closed on the main page.

When I was reading the interview, I felt Sourabh's passion, ambition, hardwork, pain and what not...no wonder his team...cast and crew is so dedicated. What he speaks gets to you.

He said exactly the things I like about his show...the human aspect of the show, shown in dramatic manner, which becomes relatable and yet entertaining...and that his shows need to create noise. I like that.

I wish him all the best in his endeavors. Thumbs Up

And like he said, I appreciate his core team...Mukta Dhaound, Sanjay Singh, Gautam Hegde, Janki V, Raghubir Shekhawat, Shivani and Abhishek. I already remember their names. Big smile

Interesting Interviews
From FWAINDIA (The Film Writers Association of India)

Sonali Jaffer (original story team for MEIEJ)

After her, Sourabh Tewari completely took over.
Listening to her interview, I feel it was good ST replaced the team. Because, she is more for TRP type of writing and not for inspirational writing. Her show Byah haamari Bahu ka failed when they focussed on male lead...I am not focussing on her failure, I am seeing that she is more about team work, listening to her producers and has been Balaji's inhouse writer. In comparison, MEIEJ is about the male lead. And ST and others had conviction in that male character, so they went after inspiration and worked for TRP figures...kind of out of the box writing.

In contrast listen to RS interview, he is more about being inspired.  Also he is more of Viacom writer and can closely gel with co-viacom creatives like Prashanth Bhatt and ST associated with Viacom...

Raghuveer Shekhawat (present dialogue-writer of MEIEJ)

And more from FWA
