Last night's ep was very nice, and the Rishbala moments were lovely.
But what got me into lingering fury was at the start of the ep when Radha said that dialogue to RK, all I could think was that replace the word 'biwi' with 'beta' and replay it, and you can understand that RK understood his wife in a short time, but his mother never understood her beta in 17 years.
Radha wounded RK's ability to trust to the point that it took a gem like Madhu to heal the damage. Otherwise, he was permanently scarred at heart.
It would have been better for Rishabh if both parents had died so that he could mourn them than have his mother Radha - just to convince herself she remarried a wonderful man - spend 17 years believing every horrible thing Kukku and Sikki say about her own son.
She tells people she has never met before what a wonderful son she used to have, and how bad he is now.
And yet, all the luxurious lifestyle she, her husband, his son and that son's wife all four enjoy is from her bad son's money. Radha has no shame or even basic decency. She believes her son is bad since it makes *her* feel she is a good mother.
I hope RK finds the mother-figure he needs in a true mother like Padmini.
But Radha? If he lets her into his heart again, she'll destroy his trust again so badly that Madhu's efforts to heal his hurts might as well have been for nothing.
I suspect that even if Kukku were to die at any point, Radha would blame Rishabh for the rest of *his* life for never honouring such a wonderful stepfather and breaking Kukku's fatherly heart.
The betrayal Radha committed was of a parent thinking ill of their child just to think their own decision is right. Radha did it for 17 years.
17 years, her son has been loyal to her even in coldness and she has been disloyal to him even with her demonstrative affection. Even her death would not make condonable almost two decades of insiduous though inadvertent bad parenting.
Balraj is evil. But he doesn't scare me because I know the good guys can fight him.
But Radha scares me. She is innocent, gentle, loving. They'll never fight her, and she'll destroy them even though she would actually die to protect them.
She loves her son. But she has hurt him worse than Kukku ever could. When a newcomer in one's life talks against one's own child who has one has known all his life, how can one believe it? But Radha wanted to believe she had made the right decision in choosing Kukku. So rather than doubt Kukku, she blamed Rishabh.
Being alone is not as terrible as having a loved one who loves you but always believes the worst accusations about you.
In the hospital ep, Madhu told Radha that when she promised to restore her son to her, she never thought she would actually be restoring him to life. So Madhu's promise is already completed. Radha's son was returned from death. There is no further binding in that promise in terms of serialverse - at least I hope not.
Just the possibility of Radha ever making inroads into her son's heart again frigging terrifies me.

The CVs are never going to explore her character as that is not a plot requirement for them and she just has to be the binding material between RK and Madhu.
However as her dialogues shed light on the character she is, and since you have written on the person she is, for fodder material on her character, I would like to mention other points which we have been forced to notice time and again through her actions.
So a fodder material, lets collect these for now to chew on it...I am sure you would like it.
- Her dialogues - always put Rishabh on bad side and as as sick person who needs to be healed.
- Her actions, agenda - always tries to care for her son. (Only for her son). Rarely I have seen her going extra mile for anyone else's betterment than what's on her mind. She can make Madhu see RK the way she wants her DIL to see her son. She does it through her Information Bank, out of which she provides discrete information in a suspect fashion to an unsuspecting Madhu. We know how she made Madhu wear the bangles, how she asked MAdhu to forgive Rishabh, go to Siddhi Vinayak etc etc. Basically she is the mastermind behind Madhu the commander of the battle to be won.
- Appears a doormat with constant glycerine in her eyes. Cannot say what she over-heard or what she did not. But definitely she is the family's VAULT of SECRETS.
- She manipulates even her son with selective use of confidential information.
- The only two persons so far who have been able to penetrate her hard skin are RK the young boy and Madhu @night after party humiliation.
- She is good potential for turning into a grey character, if CVs plan for it in future. How ? Radhaji does not take her LOSSES very kindly. She cries hard and lashes out quite viciously. So all of this can be used for future tracks.
- The constant glycerine right now is a torture to viewers, but it is mask, she perpetually wears before her RK son and the Bhatias. With servants and Deepali, Radhaji is shown to be quite straight in dealings befitting her as the mistress of the house.
- A lot of her character revelation will happen when we know why Mohan Kundra killed himself.

That is just an expression created for TRP figures. Though CVs would want to show Radha as not affected, but TRP generating women want Radha to be crying and all goody goody about good things of life. She is a spokesperson of keeping manners and sacrificing her wishes for family though she wants something else in each of the scene. So constant tears and coming across as selfish. Basically she would want to be happy seeing Kuku BBB'd but her family values tell her that manners need to be kept and hence her tears at the ensuing fight. But when Kuku leaves, she is happy that she still has her son.
So what a woman wants and yet cannot get always, but only aspire...So the TEARS, which is the story of an AVERAGE Indian HOUSE-WIFE/KEEPER.
As a SPOKESPERSON, Radhaji has achieved so far these things.
1) She had asked Madhu never to think bad for him, but forgive him as he needs healing. Thus she supported her son and made Madhu take him seriously as a human being and not just the "jaanwar" that Madhu used to think.
2) She lashed out at her son for mistreating his wife by crossing the limits of decency and protocol. She asked him to respect the relationship with the girl he married.
3) She then put Madhu to start working on Mother-Son relationship. She was the one who started the Ganesha Track which achieved RK's restoration of his faith in Ganesha and accepting Madhu as his partner to be taken care of since she cared for him.
4) She became a spokesperson yet again to convince Padmini to marry Shamsher. Otherwise, Padmini would never have been able to come out of her guilt complex.
5) She showed courage to Padmini that she need not fear Balraj with all Nari Shakti gyan. She has sown Padmini shooting Balraj track.
6) She has been okay with RK telling the Bhatias off. She is showing that she doesn't mind losing the Bhatias as long as she has her son. This has helped in RK healing and dealing with regards to unwanted relationships (thope hue rishte by her mother's wrong decision) i.e, Bhatias forced presence in his life.

I liked all their dances. Roma was making sure RK gets to sit with Madhu by taking Bittuji away. Seemed Bittuji was trying to flirt with Roma 
and Trishna as well...but poor guy again was working for his boss. And Ms Radha was really good with that dancing. She managed to pull in everybody except Kuku Bhatia

No Chappals Ananya. Actually what you write is true.
Me also remembering Radhaji in restrospect in all the episodes, one of the grudge that RK has against his mother is that she has been moralizing him even when he cut himself off her. I am actually happy that Radha never backed out from teaching her son the right and wrong even when he did not speak to her for years. We can see that RK fears her reprimand as much as he cares for his father through these scenes
1) when Radhaji is introduced, her one call "Rishabh" breaks RK from his bottle-breaking spree
2) when Rads yells at him that he crossed the line with Madhu, and when next day Rads comes to his room to express her happiness at making all things right for Madhu, he assures her that he will never cross the line and never do anything that will put his parents name to shame, especially his father.
3) when Rads comes from behind in the night, waiting for him in the dead of night, and tells him he has become husband in every right by taking Madhu to her maayka seeing her sad. That scene was so good. Because, there in the chawl, Padmini explains the same to Madhu about RK, how kind the gesture was and here in RK mansion, Radha commends her son for his good deed.
4) and in overall, RK the way he is maintaining his family is solely because of Radha. Plus we got to see through his flashbacks that his mother has been his primary teacher (the painting scene).
Therefore on Friday, it was nice to see RK express openly to Radha in all respectful manner that she cannot anymore tell him to respect the Bhatias as he cannot. That was a good agreement between mother and son. Son is like...I listen to you, but this I won't agree ...so finally they talk instead of just being lecturing, listening leaving resent and unappealing coercion at that felt by both of them. Come on no mother likes his son completely listening to her and yet knowing that he is resenting her every minute for listening to her. That's why her sad tears earlier and later happy tears.

Radha, when she calls out to Balraj, she surprised even Kuku and family. As in when and where did this woman develop a voice. But then Radha may not look as we want of her, but we know, she is a voice of moral decorum and the sense of big picture, just like Madhu has, That's why the daughter in law and mother in law blend so much, They think alike in many ways. So here when she confronted Balraj, she could get that energy because MAdhu was her Son's Lifeline. She knows she can lose her son if Madhu is not there. So all her firepower bursts forth. Anyways, seems the PH has heard our pleas and from past episodes since the beginning of Jan, Radha has been shedding less tears. So Radha call was beyond, human and relational aspect. It was for her life vested in her son whose life was vested in Madhu.
Since the past few days, Radha's character has me confused a little... I have had a convo with Shri regarding Radha's character too..

Since the past few days, Radha's character has me confused a little... I have had a convo with Shri regarding Radha's character too..
She has always been shown to have vested self-interest in RK.
She has never gone the extra-mile to close the gap between her and RK.
She had always wanted only her son to reconcile back with her without any effort from her side, when she herself claims that it was her mistake that he turned out to be like this...
She has always overlooked and ignored anything that could cause disbalance to her family set-up...Be it her husbands actions or Dipzy's
Looks like she was never interested in becoming a mother to even Sikky..
Agreed that she has always been the moral police for RK despite the distance.
It took Madhu's efforts clubbed with RK's own intention to let go of the grudges and reconcile back with his mother.
One day she proudly shows-off that RK got aashirwaad from her and fed her cake without ack Madhu for that act.. but soon later, she gives all the credit to Madhu for giving her son back to her...
Recently, she has been advising Pads first for the remarriage and then giving her the pep talk to erase Ballu's fear from her mind.. This was in contrast to the meek, weak woman she had displayed from the beginning...
And even today, in the hospital, she behaves very sensibly, and most importantly displayed strength...
Be it in dealing with Madhu or advising her to keep courage and giving Pads time to recover from the shock..
All this is in contrast to the dunce she was...Looks like there has been a drift in her character...
Coming to the episode, it was quite a good and thankfully fast-paced one,one of the reasons why I love the show... The melo wasn't too much OTT... Madhu's dilemma of being with her mom or RK, her hysteria at the hospital was quite neatly done... Padmini's shock at having killed Balraj and her silence thereafter, was perfect...
But from where did Roma tapkofy at the police station? How did she escape?
Precap: Certain things will never change...Trishna like always has to blame someone for her/family troubles and tensions and RK was made the bali ka bakra once again...
