Dear All,
I have always said, I do not much care about Rishbala, as much as I care for good drama. And at the same time, I like the chemistry between Rishabh Kundra and Madhu. Most of you are also Rishbala lovers. And yet, I always see you pained by their love story rather than enjoying it.
May I know why you are always pained and COMPLAINING as if they are torturing you ? What makes you feel so hurt when those two do anything to each other.
I have seen that I rant, or get hurt when I see any one of them deviating from my pristine understanding of natural traits of man, woman, lovers, haters, social beings, society people and also the elite of the society. Other than that what they do to each other, I sometimes enjoy and I sometimes would have wished the other to give a smarter answer...takkar ka jawaab.
Like for ex: I never liked Madhubala Malik sending bangles and going after a powerful man...that one mistake being made...which btw Madhu till date has never regretted as having been unnecessary or unwarranted...I have supported her 4 slaps for what RK did to her...not for breaking her engagement, taking away her job and Malik getting injured...but that the man was gloating over his win...he was gloating so much when narrating the entire plan to Madhu over the cell phone...that my blood was boiling...and when he finally very calmly was settled in the thought that his revenge is finished...it was my devilish pleasure to watch Madhu coming and slapping him hard. At that time I did not care about consequences...like I cared for consequences when Madhu sent the bangles and was relentlessly pursuing the man. Then she had lot to lose. Now, she had nearly nil to lose.
And since I was no Gandhian and enjoyed the slapping, I knew the revenge game would be there to stay. Just like Madhu never regrets what she did, even Rishabh Kundra also does not regret what he does.
So my question to all of you was...when those two people are ready to play, go to any length to make each other suffer, bend to their wish, why is that you people are always so pained to see them. Instead why you cannot just enjoy as they are.
Their story was battle of wills in Phase I with hate being the foundation.
Rishabh Kundra really played a dirty game with Madhubala.
And this dirty game can be understood by no one else than her because RK hated her and at one point even she too hated him. So she can understand where he comes from and why took that revenge. Her pain is not that he took revenge in that unforgivable, unfair manner. Her pain is more about her anger and frustration at the man she loved...that when her love could overcome all hatred for him, how the same could not have happened to him. How could he not love her. And her pain for herself is that she knows he loved her and that he doesn't realize it and has now relinquished his rights over her. This has taken away her right too.
In Phase II, Madhu is again teaching RK a lesson, for him to accept/for him to listen to his heart and say it that it makes him immensely happy to see her happy, that he feels loved when he loves her. This is going to be a long fight between the two and for the entire time SUltan will be there. This time of battle of will is...Madhu has picked up the pieces of her life and showing him right in front of his eyes, that I will not wither like you expected me to wither. I shall still have a loving heart unlike you who would be in pain. Madhu keeps telling herself, Trishna, Padmini and audience and even RK, that she doesn't know why she is doing things the way she is doing, what is she trying to prove, but her frustration and pain for the man she loves, when she sees him how he still cares for her unbeknownst to himself, we see how it is expressive of her subconscious desire for him to take her in his arms in love, but all in true realization.
This is going to be one tough fight between the two, when Madhu will be unrelenting (yielding in moments but never yeilding fully to him) making him more and more insecure and crazy, until he would just blurt out that he would bleed to death, if she is not in his life. He will not say I love you Madhu, He will actually say, Madhu you are my life...in true sense he will say, you are my oxygen...and all this will come up as she keeps going away from him the more he plays games with her to hide his love for her and she would see through it.
So that's why I don't understand, why you people always keep asking about RRR of RK...and why you don't see that hate and love almost have same magnitude of energy, just the direction is different...And Madhu would always know about RK's care, love, hate, anger, possessiveness, obsesession in a very knowingly feeling manner, which is why she will not ask RRR from RK, but would just without any apologies, tantrums, shams; want him to take her into his fold. She would be okay with his any kind of drama as long as her aim and objective is getting fulfilled.
And on the ending note...I did not write to offend you all. I felt all this from your posts and so felt like asking. The category of these people will be self-understood. Those who laugh like me at the drama, obviously will know what I am saying.
Cheers.
ETA: By no means it is prediction. This is what it came out as I understood their story. If the CVs tomorrow show deviation from this, I would personally take it as clunk. For me Madhu is equally strong. So in this second phase, I feel this is how she is supposed to be winning. In this slow manner...where she the one who is hurt, but actually he hurts through her actions...and that too when she defiantly asks him...why she cannot act like that. Again...personally ...that is still a poetic justice...so who cares for a speedy RRR when slow torture for him is going to give him more pain. lol.

I don't care for RRR really. I enjoy good drama. So I'm pretty cool.
What's irritating me nowadays is the sudden influx of bloopers, logic holes, stupidity in characters ..
- Shootout at the chawl, and the bodies just vanish?
- Sultan, cold, closed hearted person falls in love within a week?
- Sultan recovers from that bullet wound within a day?
- Madhu actually compares the plight of a heavily pregnant woman with a child to a gangster who has a child & a caretaker? Knowing that while that woman had no money, knew no one at all, and had goons chasing after her to kill her .. that gangster has money, has connections, has the option of fleeing India?
There are so many more.
What happened to the MEIEJ of old where every thing was so meticulously planned? Where even if one was lucky enough to find a logical/ editing mistake, the drama was so so so good that we were able & willing to overlook it without feeling this irritation?
And despite this, I'm here. I'm still glued to my TV set at 8:30pm every night without fail.. because the drama is still good, RK's charisma is still going strong, and RishBala chemistry whether in anger, hate or love is still a spectacular sight to behold.

I agree with you Angeena. Those are my grudges as well, making the show boring.
One thing I know for sure...and may be it shall help you. The writers are very clear that they need to write a crazy drama and we need to expect the unexpected.
That's why they show the improbable of Gangster looking a good man and yet falling in love so quickly.
Why inspite of knowing that, I don't like the track is because, Sultan carries zero entertainment value...because of three reasons
- He does not do anything in the show (koi haath pair nahin chalte...na dhanda na kuch kaam)
- He does not talk. So boring to watch a face without too many dialogues.
- All his existence is around three other weaklings - an old man, a special child and a woman.
Then when they give him action scenes or dialogues, the CVs give him things that remind us about RK. And this creates hurt in us...as it looks forceful triangle. Soon Padmini will say...Madhu...get married to Sultan, because I like him...and Madhu might agree to...then all this hurt of audience is going to be repaid with pleasure when RK brings down the roof with his crazy anger and BBB.
I am just thinking they can go for different techniques, but I guess, they cannot spend so much of creative energy on one soap (else they will be burnt out)...instead they can take up different projects.
So ultimately writers will go for already explored/tested/Beta pattern of emotional response for the show...same waves ,,,peaks and troughs

Shri,
Loved your post on page 6. Agree to every word.
I know I am one of those people that your post was addressed to. But I am not at all offended. In fact you gave me a new perspective.
Why am I pained? I honestly have no answer to that. Need to find one soon. But one of the reasons could be that, unlike a lot of people here, I can't say that I watch the show just for good drama. To be honest, I care for Rishbala more than good drama, which might be a wrong way of seeing things. Watching RKs downward spiral is a pain. Watching the charming, suave, intelligent man behave like a possessed and obsessed lover is painful. I know he deserves all of it, but its not too entertaining to watch. But, since the topic has been raised, I have to look for answers and come out clean with them.
Re RRR, I don't expect one, and I don't care if there is none coming. From, where I stand, I don't even see the need of it, as the man is already headed for a breakdown.
The drunk night conversation between RK and Madhu, was a good enough indication for us to figure that, Madhu does not care for RKs redemption. She will never expect or demand an apology from him. She very clearly asks him to listen to his heart. This means, she only expects him to realize his love and bestow it on her without any facade. After that, I gradually made peace that whatever ST or RS may say, there is no RRR coming. If Madhu is very clearly ready to accept him solely once he comes clean with his feelings (again the recent Holi celebration is a testimony to this), viewers can very well forget about the so called redemption.
Besides, I have to admit that the very recent Sultan-Madhu angle bothers me to no end. Sultan provides me no entertainment. His character has no footing according to me and all his scenes are very very forced. The whole track is bloopers galore. I don't see the point of introducing a gangster just for the sake of a triangle. This whole track has to shed some more light. Moreover, CVs are literally making an emotional fool out of us, by asking us to accept the crazy whims of their heroine.
All in all, the entertainment quotient in the show has almost become null.
I hope I will be able to gain a new perspective, and bring myself to enjoy the show again.
Cheers.

Lovely post, Ananya ! My original attachment towards the show was RishBala's love story, I'm still crazy about them, but the sudden change in the direction of the show is keeping me less entertained. Turning the show to a gangster's paradise was a much need it move? A new character entry would have made more sense if he was part of the movie industry vs. a incompetent Don. So far, RK remains the most intrigued character, at least this week there will be some drama rather than flat scenes filled by lullaby

SD - Lovely post on Rishbala on pg 6.I agree. But I want to tweet to ST ...to please think through tracks and not introduce them for the sake of being different.
Angeena - Loved your post on bloopers. I wanted to write the same thing. Sultan would have worked if the track had been handled better. He has a presence, is able to hold his own against RK, a calm antithesis to RK's bombastic personality. but they've messed up so badly. Him falling in love with Madhu is so so contrived, I wanted to switch off my TV, not because I cannot bear Sultan-Madhu but because it was sooo ho hum. i could've had a power nap during that scene.
We are so used to seeing pitch perfect episodes in MB that the recent episodes are beginning to grate on our nerves. I used to love the whole team for that. Now I'm beginning to think they've lost the plot completely.
here's to hoping that they manage to get back on track and break the mould where Tv serials are concerned.

thank you Ananya for this. sums up my feelings as well...Thank you Shri, Zoe, Soundarya and Jazz for your posts. abs nothing is left to add..with entertainment value nil and bloopers galore episodes, shoddy treatment of the storyline, all characters going down the drain, do we have anything to look forward to? anyways, as long as Rishbala are together, the hope is still alive...the problem/expectation was never Rishbala or RK's RRR but Sultan in MB...apart from his scenes individually which put me to sleep , will the audience accept a married woman with another guy? or him dreaming of her, knowing that she's married? stable, REALLY? here lies the clunk ! they can never develop this track properly bec. they have to retain the good image of Madhu yet make RK look miserable..that means misunderstandings galore and the cliche route of showing the heroine wronged..more tears=more TRP's
